We loved this cottage and it was very well equipped in the kitchen and laundry. The decor is beautiful and it felt vert relaxing and cosy during our wet and cold 4 night stay. However, I found Bright Escapes awful to deal with. Requiring an upload of a PHOTO of my licence and my credit card is an excessive and unnecessary fraud risk merely for accomodation. This is in addition to already having my credit card details for payment. While they claim the information is deleted after x days, anyone in IT will tell you that the image is never actually deleted and the digital footprint remains. On this trip we used 4 different accommodations, all booked via STAYZ and only Bright Escapes required such a ridiculous amount of information. I ended up blacking out the licence number and date of birth and my credit card number and this was deemed acceptable which of course means there is no way it was actually used in the manner they described. Finally, their departure checklist stated that if anything is left behind there is an $80 handling fee PLUS postage. Seriously? This is just another excessive money grab.
