Tudor House-Windermere Centre

Great location, excellent bathrooms, and overall a very nice apartment. Superb value for money. The bathrooms were really amazing.

There was very little to not like about the property, but the sofas and the cushions need a very serious replacement or deep cleaning. There was also quite a bit of smell coming from the restaurant, which is right next-door on the ground floor. You can feel it immediately every time you enter the apartment but after a certain time, you just don’t smell it anymore and crucially the smell is not there upstairs . Other than that it’s a fantastic property.

Accomodation was comfortable, clean and well stocked. They had fans in the room for the hot days which shows good care for comfort.

They refused to accept bags early. I found this most disappointing as most hotels and stays allow you to drop bags early even if the room is not ready. This was a big dissatisfaction and we had to pay more at a private storage facility which was a big inconvenience to lug all big bags around on the inclined street, searching for a storage facility. Receipt of bags (at owners risk) should be strongly considered by the owners as its a town that has trains at big intervals so visitors will end up arriving early based on trains. Locked bags at owners risk is fine at 95% of locations I've visited. Just a positive suggestion.
