Family birthday celebrations

The perfect house for us to celebrate some special birthdays. Spacious and comfortable, we immediately felt at home. Loved the kitchen/diner area and each bedroom having an en suite was fantastic. The pool table also was an added bonus. Short car journey into Alnmouth for a lovely walk on the beach and 10 mins into Alnwick - great location. Could have stayed all week.

Great location, however the property was misrepresented and there was no privacy.

The owners were lovely. However the property is misrepresented in the photograph on booking. com. The property looks like it has lots of land. This is not the case it is an ordinary house block. Also there is a little annexe property that is rented out separately. That was not made clear, you can see those tenants in their hot tub from the rear bedroom. Very noisy when their spa is on. We expected much more privacy from the property. Also some of the equipment and furniture was dated.

A brilliant few days with really special memories made.

We had full instructions a few days before our booking but got delayed so had to change the agreed plan en route. Sue, the host,was easy to contact and quick to respond, kindly offering an alternative. She went over and above doing all she could to meet our changing needs making us feel very welcome and relaxed from beginning to end. The house is beautiful and clean with amazing space and privicy so everyone could mingle and relax as they needed to. It's in a really pretty village location and has plenty of country and riverside walks nearby. Everything works well. I can only thank Sue for her hard work and exceptional ability to make her guests welcome.

Fabulous Stay

Alnside Lodge was perfect for our stay. I wish we'd booked it for longer! It is situated in the lovely village of Lesbury, within walking distance to Alnmouth and on a bus route to Alnwick and the surrounding area.. It was clean, and we had everything we needed, plus a hot tub. Sue and her husband were so welcoming. Cannot fault it at all and would love to return.

Nothing to dislike at all. Only one problem was that we could not get the television to work, but we didn't need it, too much to see and explore.

Ideal family holiday venue.

Good location for trips to the beach and Alnwick. The house was very well equipped with everything for a relaxing holiday. Small children were well catered for with cots and a highchair as well as ride ons in the garden, a very thoughtful touch. Older children and grownups enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Having four ensuite bathrooms really helped get everyone down for breakfast at the same time. Very helpful and friendly owners quickly solved a slight issue with keys and provided some really useful information on local walks.

great accommodation for a family break

great service from start to finish, location is good for Northumberland coast , we had toddlers with us and enclosed rear garden was perfect for them to run around, hot tub and pool table good additions as we also had a teenager

nothing really, couple off wear and tear issues, such as a loose bedroom door handle but didn’t affect the holiday

Fab family weekend.

Gorgeous venue to celebrate our Ruby wedding with the family. Kids loved the hot tub & pool table. Staircase is a lovely backdrop to take photos. Great base for visiting beautiful Alnwick & Sea Houses. Hosts were very friendly
