Stunning Sea View Two Bed Two Bathroom Apartment

We stayed one night (we had booked two, but left early). The location is lovely, very quiet, with a gorgeous landscape and a peaceful development. Unfortunately, the flat’s maintenance is a serious health and safety concern. We arrived after dark and only noticed in the morning that a bedroom window was badly cracked, with water leaking along the edge. The damage looked longstanding (visible rust) and the blind had been pulled down to cover it, with no precautions taken to make it safe. Other issues added to the sense of neglect: a ceiling plate had fallen out and been taped back up, several door handles were loose and the lounge handle fell off 3 times (worrying given the kitchen and balcony access if you have a young child getting stuck). The kitchen tap handle kept popping out, two of the four lounge blinds were unusable (one missing, one broken), the hoover was completely full, and bathroom tiles were moving. What made it worse was the lack of concern from the person managing the flat. On arrival we were stuck at the gate, which was meant to open automatically but would not open unless a code was entered, and we had not been given one in advance. Calls went to voicemail with no response until the next morning, once stuck again. A code was finally sent, with no real acknowledgement that the gate was not functioning as advertised. I also received no reply at all when I messaged about the window damage. After leaving, I checked the Booking.com reviews and was concerned to see the same issues reported months ago, including a review dated 22 June 2025 mentioning a badly cracked window (potentially dangerous for children) and door handles falling off, which suggests this is a recurring problem that has not been addressed.

Everything was perfect, we had the best stay here. It was well presented clean and everything you needed. The beds were so comfy and the decor was lovely, it felt like home. The host was absolutely lovely and there anytime to answer any questions or problems. We can’t recommend this place enough and we can’t wait to stay again ☺️ thank you

That we had to leave

It’s a really good location & very quiet.

It was clear the apartment hadn’t been fully cleaned. There was hardly any toilet paper, no handwash, no bin liners in the bins, a full dishwasher for us to unload, the last guests things were still to be found e.g., used napkins, used toothpicks, fake eyelashes on the floor (picture included), gaviscon left in the drawers. I told the host about it and asked if something could be done. We arrived on NYE so we’re headed straight out, the host text me back saying they’d spoken to their cleaning team who had headed back to the apartment but we weren’t in so they couldn’t enter (the host had my phone number so could have given me a heads up and we would have been more than happy to stay), the host went onto say they’d left toilet roll for us and a box of biscuits and if the dishwasher hadn’t finished its cycle by the time the cleaning staff finished cleaning then it wouldn’t be emptied. The host then ended the message with ‘I hope you have a wonderful evening and my apologies’. The host didn’t address the other points I’d raised - the apartment being unclean, the no handwash etc. it felt really poor considering the price we paid for the apartment to just be handed some biscuits as a way to keep quiet. Really disappointing as we’d stayed here before and loved it. I have family near Porthcawl so would have been a returning customer but I don’t trust the cleanliness of the property or that the host would even care.

I grew up in Porthcawl and fly home each year to visit family. Over the years I’ve stayed in just about every option the town has to offer and this was the most modern, clean, quality, spacious place that I’ve stayed. It’s in a quiet location, right next to Rest Bay (which is my favorite Porthcawl beach) and a nice walk into town. For sure next time I come home I’ll be checking if it’s available again.

There was nothing I disliked, it met my needs for this trip perfectly.

The location was perfect. The apartment was so clean and it had everything you would need. The complex and the apartment was so peaceful too, it was so quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and will 100% be coming back!

Spacious, modern, clean and had everything we needed.

The apartment was clean spacious, and very comfortable, with lots of natural light. It’s great to arrive somewhere and have the ability to settle in very quickly. I particularly liked how spacious the apartment was, and the balcony and view was an excellent bonus.

Ours was a short stay and the apartment easily met all our immediate needs. Therefore there was nothing we didn’t like.

One large window has a very big crack in it. Notified host but no response.some door handles were loose and falling off.
