The house is clean, nicely furnished, in a quiet neighborhood. The host is friendly and responsive. There is a metro station close by, that we found out only later and didn’t get to use it. The shared part is pleasant. The place feels like a youth hostel with shared bathrooms/kitchen/common areas, probably best if you are single and traveling alone.

The room was very small for 3 persons, no real space for open luggages. Our room was in the attic with a sloping low ceiling so we had to bend not to hit our head. It was hot in August, despite fans and open windows. From the map, it seems that the apartment is close to the airport. In practice, this is not that good. It takes 10 min by taxi. The taxi price and time are only slightly less than what we paid for a ride from the airport to the center of Bilbao. There are restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance, but they are small and not always open.

The property was very well maintained and the room was a great price and comfortable. We had 5 people and we booked a room with 2 double beds and a twin bed. It was perfect for the short stay that we had. Additionally, the facilities, despite being shared, were very clean and we had no issues whatsoever. All the other guests were extremely respectful. The location was also fantastic. It was close to the train station and we were able to get to the downtown easily. Gerard, the host, was also incredibly helpful and friendly. He picked us up from the airport and explained how to get around once we settled in. He was in contact with us even before we boarded the flight to get to Bilbao so we knew exactly what to expect upon landing.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Close to the airport and they helped us book an early 4am driver for our departure. our stay was short and sweet but great.
