Cosy cottage in the beautiful Shropshire Hills

Cottage was cosy with everything you need. Fire had been lit for our arrival which we really appreciated. Toiletries, milk, butter, bread and biscuits provided - what more could you ask for! Hosts were really friendly and helpful - cleared the snow from the road for us! Short (but steep) walk up to Bromlow Callow for amazing views and can carry on all the way to Mitchell's fold stone circle.

Would have been good if there was an EV charger but there are plenty of places to charge around. We left our car charging whilst we had a walk round Attingham Park - if you're NT members this is really convenient and good value.

A wonderful break.

The accommodation was comfortable and spacious for three guests. The facilities were excellent. Our hosts attentiveness made out our stay memorable.

Amazing!!!!!!!!! Loved!!!!!!

Very good attention to detail even down to there being 4 fresh bottles of water in fridge ready for us 4 guest. Bread, butter, tea, sugar all fresh and made available. Loads of games. Had everything you could think of bathroom even had products for ladies. Great communication before arriving. Extremely clean and well put out. Beautiful location and amazing value for money. We really enjoyed our time here and was really a beautiful cottage I couldn’t fault this place one bit! Infact it’s probably one of the best places I have stayed. There was leaflets of near by things and even a folder explaining how to use things. Restaurants and cafes near by, how far they was even their menu. Good WiFi signal. Honestly amazing hosts! We definitely will be returning. Thank you so much!

Very cosy property.

There is an unmarked stair in the corridor. Hazard tape or similar to highlight it would be good. I am partially sighted and nearly tripped.

Fantastic location for attending wedding at able harp

We stayed 2 nights at stone cottage for a wedding at able harp. The property is beautiful and spotlessly clean, it had every thing for a perfect stay ..books, games etc. Lovely large decking area outside the patio doors from the lounge. Little extras like toiletries were a rare treat if you've forgotten your own. Bed was clean and comfy, just couldn't fault anything at all. Such a peaceful location we would love to return someday soon. Special thanks to Mr Heaney for going above and beyond to make our stay so perfect !

If you’re ever needing somewhere to stay in that are, don’t look anywhere else.

A beautiful cottage, inside and outside. It felt so homely the minute we walked in. Much bigger than we expected. 3 adults and a 7 year old. Plenty of books, games, magazines and all the TV channels you’ll need. The cottage was spotlessly clean, it was flawless. The extra touches made it feel more than an Air B&B. Our hosts, Sarah, Matt, Joan and Charles could not have done more for us or made us feel more welcome. Our 7 year old granddaughter was in her element when Sarah asked her if she wanted to go down and see the 4 friendly and playful dogs (and 2 cats) but when Charles put Patty the chicken in her arms she was made up. We will 100% be returning to Stone Cottage again.

Stunning cottage in a picturesque location.

Location very rural, down a sometimes single track road but beautiful quiet surroundings. Cottage was spotless, kitchen compact but had everything needed. Bread, milk and biscuits and toiletries left by the owner was a lovely thoughtful touch.

There was nothing not to like really, the cottage is stunning. The step up into the lounge would benefit from something to make it more visible. I was concerned my elderly parents who were staying might not see it and could fall up or down the step onto the tile floor but they were fine. The bedrooms and bathroom were all together so no one had to go up the step in the night.

Cleanliness, well stocked and comfortable stay

When we first arrived, the landlady paid us a visit to say hello, which was a very nice touch. The cottage was very clean and was fully equipped for either a short or longer stay. It was very comfortable and homely. It is ideally located to visit Shrewsbury itself and the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay and had a very relaxing time. Thank you to the Heaney and Price family for a wonderful cottage

Immaculately clean, warm, fully equipped and very comfortable homely property. Absolutely everything has been perfectly thought out and the host is delightful. There was even bread, 4 bottles of water, cookies, tea, coffee, milk, .... full trolley of toiletries . superb clean modern bathroom, lovely beds, clean towels. I could keep going on about the fully equipped homely kitchen, the very comfortable living room with reclining chairs and settee, location amongst the hills & dales and about the property and the host but to simplify, come and spend some time here whilst the price is so incredibly reasonable. You'd have to pay four times for a suite in a hotel and you'd not get close to this quality and location. You can see the photos of the interior here.

The cottage was beautifully warm and cozy. There was bread butter, milk and supplies to make a hot drink ready for us when we arrived later than expected. A member of the family called at the door shortly after arriving to check that we were happy with everything.

Memorable stay in a beautiful cottage, in the most picturesque settling.

We couldn't recommend this beautiful cottage highly enough! Communication from the owners was fantastic. We were sent a message with all the details of how to enter the property upon arrival and thankfully allowed us to arrive an hour earlier to get the children ready for a wedding we were attending, owners couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We received the most friendliest of welcome's when we arrived. Our two boys absolutely loved the board games they had to play with, they didn't even miss their bag of elections and toys we accidentally left at home. The cottage was spotlessly clean and super comfortable with lots of little homely touches that made us feel so welcome. Couldn't thank the owners enough and we only wish we were staying longer than the one night. Thank you Sarah, Matt, Joan, Charles and Sophie for making are stay so wonderful x we hope to come back soon.

The cockerel woke me up, pretty standard for a farm/ small holding so can't really complain!!
