HIGH-SPEED WIFI: Yep … we all know we need it!

BEACH: Only a short walk away! This long stretch of beach has something for everyone: quiet for the relaxers, live music for the peppy, food for the hungry, and soft-bottomed sea for everyone.

MALECÓN: Two blocks from Casa Mariposa, the Malecón boardwalk spans between the Historic Center and the Golden Zone. At thirteen miles long, the Malecón is one of the longest seafront walkways … in the world! Whether you turn north or south, the Malecón holds tantalizing offers: souvenirs, food, art installations, people-watching, and more. Along the Malecón are also many bus stops, which will cheaply and speedily transport you to the Historic Center or the Golden Zone.

HISTORIC CENTER: Plaza Machado is a leisurely walk or bicycle ride through the centro (1.5 miles) or a more scenic stroll along the Malecón (2.2 miles) or a very quick and cheap ride in a pulmonia/taxi. In the Historic Center, you’ll find the quaintest shops, the most delicious restaurants, and streets that reveal splendors at every corner.

GOLDEN ZONE: A 3.2-mile walk along the beach or the Malecón. This surf-side excursion is a must-do for those who love spending their days on their feet. The Golden Zone has a very different, and complementary, vibe from the Historic Center: where the Historic Center is placid, the Golden Zone is buzzing; where the Historic Center is traditional, the Golden Zone is modern. Each pole of Mazatlán has something unique to offer, and you will find that you are perfectly situated to reap the benefits of both when you stay at Casa Mariposa.
