Relaxing but to far from beach & main shops

Kitchen to small, bathroom small & smelt damp after a shower the bathroom was very wet. Garden area was small. Property half hour walk to main shops & beach

A lovely little find! Would highly recommend!

Small but mighty, has all amenities you could possibly want, the hosts have clearly put a lot of thought into how to make the most of the space and ensure guests have all they need. The little extra touches (coffee etc, toiletries) were lovely as well. Near the beaches and town centre too which is ideal. Dog friendly and free parking are huge pluses!

Fancy hideaway home

Great accommodation, high-end finish, and very comfortable. Lovely touch with welcome pack. Perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Whilst the patio doors are great, not having a window to open on night was a little strange. There was a fan to help stay cool.

Cute and compact

Cute and compact, had everything you needed for a mini break. Instant hot water tap, hair dryer and iron available. Lots of on street parking. Easy drive to the beach or local parks. 35min walk to the beach which was easy to navigate. Host was very responsive as had a delay with check in as arrived before it had been cleaned. Goodies left as a welcome was very nice. Didn't try the hot tub so can't comment on it.

It was very hot even with the fan as there are no windows only the bifold doors but we did go in a heatwave so it might be ok with normal UK weather

Quaint and great for just me

Tricky to get ventilation, especially in the bedroom. Information provided by booking.com for check in was non existent, gave the wrong address and key lock code. Thankfully someone was in at the address given who knew where to find it and the lock box info, which he forwarded to me, but I had none of this before I arrived.

Cosy, clean & unique! 😍

Everything was perfect! Very clean and we arrived to a bottle of Prosecco (which was a lovely touch for my birthday thank you!) The hot tub was very clean and a great addition to the stat!

Home away from home

Pictures don't do this lovely place justice, was blown away at how nice and cosy this lodge was. Little touches upon entering with biscuits and milk was very kind and welcoming. Whole lodge was clean and well presented. Owner was exceptionally helpful with the details on email and quick responses. The hottub was an added extra surrounded by lights for evening bliss.

Perfect!

Perfect little trip. Small but mighty! Absolutely loved the hot tub, the bed was super comfy and although it's small, it's everything we needed. Really appreciated the milk, bread, butter and biscuits left for us. Made us feel very welcome.

Rubbish cold not worth staying

Please do not use this lodge it's not a lodge it's a summer house in a garden with no cover over the hot tub with loads of people windows over looking the hot tub plus no heating working and tv does not work I was there 15 mins and left

Property was gorgeous! Decor was stunning with a beautiful garden, clean and comfortable, perfect for a little getaway!

Had a slight issue with the key lock box but Issac was very quick to help, really appreciate it!

Nothing, except the location (it takes a bit longer to find the entrance) maybe I was the only one who find this hard but I travelled a lot and this kind of information must be a priority.

Perfect, relaxing solo stay

Fortescue Lodge is a gem. Check in instructions were great, parking was easy, the property was spotless on arrival, the hot tub was ready for use, and a bottle of prosecco and biscuits were very kindly left on the table. The bathroom whilst small is luxurious, the shower especially. Living room area is well lit and comfy with a big television. Nice kitchenette; the instant boiling water tap was great. Bedroom was spotless and comfy again. The hot tub was easy to use, very relaxing, and the garden felt very private. Fairly easy and quick to get into the city centre (I used the Beryl rental bikes/scooters) - I quite liked the fact this place was in a slightly quieter area of Bournemouth. Very comfortable stay, good value, would stay again.

Lovely location and property; well worth the money.

Property was lovely; well decorated, clean and to a high specification. Hot tub and garden were excellent and the location was great near to restaurants and other amenities. Lovely touches by the owners to make you feel welcome.

Only complaints were the water pressure for the shower and a lack of ventilation, it got quite warm at night even with a fan on.

Great value, a beautiful property, and amazing hosts!

The style, the layout, the facilities, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the Hot tub was incredible and after asking them to do something for my boyfriend they went way beyond, what lovely people and a beautiful place!

Simple! We didn't like leaving! The Bed was so comfy I had to literally kick my bf out of it on check out day!

Perfect and Relaxing

The decor is beautiful and the location was a 30 min good walk to the central Bournemouth but you also had shops close by for necessities. Hot tub was gorgeous and the entire trip was just so relaxed. The owner was so responsive if I had a question and also offered to get an air fryer for meals (I’m not the best of cooks!). I’m hoping to come back next year if I can! Really great use of the space. The ease of popping to the shop or just grabbing a beryl bike from down the road was fantastic. And the sun shines perfectly over the garden throughout the day- the parasol was needed a few times

Could’ve done with a slightly bigger Bin inside as I felt bad just leaving a bag of rubbish when I left (sorry!). Also had to wash my hair in the sink as the shower pressure was quite low but that may have been me not using it properly? Could possibly do with some blinds/curtains around the bifold doors as I felt a little uncomfortable at times walking around knowing that neighbours could see straight in.

Close to amenities, very nice furniture . Good value for money . The hot tub was lovely . Parking is very good .

Neighbours , we're a little loud . Step outside of the gate needs to be fixed . A fan could be provided for when it is hot at the property . Instructions for the hob and hot tub would be advantageous.
