Standing Megeve - 2 to 8 people - Mont d'Arbois

Host was great and had the keys very convenient for us. We checking in after midnight so it was a relief. Views from the apartment were incredible, looking over the pistes and even having an air balloon pass no more than 20 yards from the window. The beds were amazing, even asked the host if he could share where he got the sheets and pillows, or what's the name (but he hasn't shared that yet). It's incredibly close to the two most important lifts so we could walk each day to Mont d'Arbois, get the skis from the shop and decide which side of the mountain to go to. There is also a bus stop right in front of the chalet for the ski bus so if you don't want to walk you don't have to - you can use the Pays app for the bus, it's accurate. Kitchen was very well equipped and the table was very comfortable for a big party of people. It's very stylish. It's a cosy apartment and great for skiing.

While it's a great place, there are some things that weren't optimal as expected, some of which might be very easy to fix and hope they are for the next people. One of the more issues, although nothing to do about it, is that the layout of the apartment is a bit weird, although I've seen that across ski resorts. There are 2 toilets but one of them is en-suite, so if you are 6-8 people, there is a toiled for 2 and another one for 6 potentially which is a horrible distribution. The second bigger issues is that if you don't have a car, it's tough to get groceries for cooking or get to nice restaurants. The shop nearby is incredibly limited in products - meat is almost non-existent and fish is impossible. There are 2 restaurants all in all. So you can catch the bus to town but the last one on the way back is at 19:00 so you'd need a 30-40 euros taxi to get back. Location is amazing for skiing but not so great for anything else. Minor things: We couldn't get the heating to work in one of the rooms - there was a problems since the controls were the same across the rooms but this one only didn't work. It showed as working but it never got on. It wasn't the end of the world for us as we only used that room for sleeping and sleeping at 17-18 degrees is ok. But might be an issue for others - I imagine they would've fixed it after us. Some things are not working like one of the bathroom/toilet doors was not closing nor locking, which might be fun in certain groups. And other minor things like shower heads, shower stands, screeching doors, dirty appliances but they don't cause upsets. The SPA centre is alright but since it lacks a pool maybe a tub/jacuzzi could make it a bit more rounded?

Host gentile, reattivo e disponibile. Comodo parcheggio. Comodo ascensore per raggiungere il piano. Appartamento curato con gusto e stile , abbiamo aprezzato la qualità degli arredi e i particolari come ad esempio l'illuminazione degli ambienti. Super accessoriato come da descrizione. Ampi terrazzi per rilassarsi e godere del panorama, ciascuno con sdraio e tavolini. Molto pulito. Posizione tranquilla. All'interno ampio spazio comune che comprende salotto, soggiorno e zona cottura, ideale per la convivenza. Docce ampie e moderne, lavabi grandi e comodi. Ciabattine e acessori pulizia a disposizione. La cucina è completa di alcune vivande di base e vino. Sono risultati utili gli elettrodomestici: lava-stoviglie e lava-asciuga biancheria. Erano disponibili anche accappatoi (per solo 4 dei 6 ospiti). La teleria delle camere da letto è di ottima qualità, così come cuscini e materassi. L'ambiente invita al relax !!

Abbiamo scelto questo alloggio perchè siamo tre coppie di amici e avremmo avuto il piacere di usufruire di tre bagni completi, uno per ogni coppia ma la descrizione dell'appartamento non è molto precisa: in realtà la casa dispone di una sola camera matrimoniale comoda nell'ampiezza, con armadi e ampio terrazzo e con annesso bagno completo di doccia, lavabo e wc. Delle altre tre camere (c'è una quarta camera molto piccola e angusta e con letti a castello che non abbiamo usato) solo una dispone di una di una sala da bagno annessa ma purtroppo con solo lavabo e doccia, senza wc. Gli ospiti delle altre tre camere devono quindi usare una piccola sala da bagno con wc e piccolo lavamani che si trova nel corridoio. Nelle parti comuni c'è anche un'altra sala da bagno con vasca da bagno e lavabo ma sempre senza wc! Quindi due wc in tutta la casa: uno ad uso della camera patronale, un secondo nella zona comune per tutti gli altri ospiti. Purtroppo due delle tre coppie hanno fatto il turno per andare al bagno...... infine come da aspettativa in tutta la casa non è previsto nessun bidet . Una delle due camere da letto che abbiamo usato è molto piccola, ci sta solo il letto a 1.5 piazze e un piccolo tavolino da appoggio. Nessun armadio, solo due piccoli e scomodi ripostigli a ripiani incassati sopra la testata del letto, non ci sono spazi nemmeno per appoggiare una piccola valigia. Il passaggio per raggiungere il letto lato finestra è quasi impraticabile!La finestra non si può tenere aperta perchè l'apertura dell' anta ricade sul letto.
