Captain's Sea Cabin

In all my years of using booking.com and the hundreds of properties we have stayed in, this one stands above the rest. The attention to detail, convenience and sheer value for money cannot be beat. The owners Ed and Judith are wonderful, warm and welcoming people. They left water, fresh baked cookies, so many cooking stuff for us. Our kids got the tummy bug, they came by with medicine and changed sheets etc uncomplainingly. This type of hosting in this world is rare and I appreciated these wonderful people so much. West Beach is definitely one of the safest child friendly places in Cape Town. A mere 20 minutes from the centre and 30 minutes to the airport. Ed advised us on the most efficient routes. We did Boulders beach, table mountain aerial, cape of good hope park, this is a must. We did Hermanus, cool runnings toboggan and we explored the wine country. This was soo easily accessible from Ed's place. Safe parking, loads of malls about for shopping. Many many cooking utensils to do full meals. Cape town has the best meat and produce and wine in the world. Supermarket steaks and sausages tasted gourmet. Judith even advised a nice art cafe to take the kids to do painting & ceramics. The beds were super comfortable, bedding exquisite, water pressure fabulous and there were even heated blankets. There is soo much to do and see here and all at reasonable prices. We will definitely return thank you Ed ans Judith for helping us make precious memories. May God bless you richly

I felt I needed at least a month to properly immerse my self in the place. 1 week was not enough. I will definitely visit again and Ed's place has spoilt me for convenience, for access and for comfort. Truly truly one of the best finds ever for our family on this platform. 10 out of 10 is simply not enough. The little touches in the accomodation show just how much the hosts care about their guests

The place was clean, comfortable and more than we expected. The hosts are such lovely people. My family loved spending time together from morning until night. A true gem.

This property really is a gem, I have stayed in many properties all over the world, and have to say this is definitely one of my top ones in terms of value, the property itself and the service from Edward and the team. It's the little details in the apartment that make it special, and it was spotlessly cleaned and maintained through our stay (including the pool which was beautiful!). Would recommend to anyone! I had a very early check out to catch a flight, and it was no trouble at all for Edward. Communications was clear, and check in/out was so easy. If you have a stay in Cape Town don't miss this property!
