Great location for Ben Nevis with amazing views.

It was a perfect location for Ben Nevis, with good and ample parking, easy access to the property via the key safe. The property was clean, spacious, comfortable, close to amenities and easy to find. The neighbourhood was relatively quiet. We had no issues, so all in all a good stay, and we would use again.

The inside was fine. Clean and functional. We didn't find a thing wrong with it.

We did not like the area, we got there at dusk and were uncomfortable with the outside and the trek down to the entry with our luggage. As we traveled more, we were told Fort William isn't the nicest area, so it might just be we didn't have accurate expectations of our accommodations. This might be typical for Fort William, however, I think it's extremely important for the owner to post some outside pictures on the listing. This is the only issue I have honestly, it's misleading. It's hard to understand a listing without knowing the area with no pictures provided of the exterior.

Perfect for a short stay.

Lovely house, perfect for a short stay. Very well equipped and very clean. Iain was extremely helpful and very kindly allowed us to check in early.

Not too keen on the location, as it was in the middle of a housing estate at the top of a steep hill. The single bed in the small bedroom was very uncomfortable.

Okay - Im sure you have read a lot of reviews. This property is about a 20-25 min walk up a hill from the town, the location is just on the edge of comfortable walk, especially if you have just climbed ben nevis. The inside of the house is perfect, very clean, water towels etc etc - were all perfect. The issue with the water / boiler is sorted. Overall good value for money, interior of the house was excellent. Id recommend this property, and I would stay again - important that people know that the area isnt great - otherwise a bargin.

When you park your car, its in a shared area and you enter the house via the rear garden. This was a little odd. The surrounding area isnt great but I never felt intimidated or in any danger, but it didnt look great (as im sure youve read). This property was about 30% cheaper than other properties. To be honest - we rented two places and the other appartment that was 5 mins closer and 30% more expensive wasnt worth it.

Highly recommended if looking for somewhere for base for walks

Internally, I cannot fault, well equipped home, extremely clean, beds were comfy. We were climbing ben nevis so 10 min drive to visitor center. Ample parking and quiet area when we stayed. Don't let the area put you off as the home will not disappoint! Host Iain - great communication and a short 5 min drive to shops.

There is nothing that I could fault apart from the front lawn being massively over grown but you use the back as entry and not the front so its not really a issue but aesthetically would look better if it was maintained.

Would recommend, homely accommodation, excellent facilities

Homely accommodation which was very clean and tidy. The views from the bedroom was lovely, looking over the loch and out to mountains. The town of Fort William is lovely, some great places to eat and few cute shops. The accommodation is up a hill (as to be expected 🤣), it’s easy to walk down to the high street, not so easy to walk back up but do-able. The host was great, had good communication. Place is beautiful, would def recommend and stay again. Very close to Ben Nevis walking routes.

Upstairs was very warm. Only one thing we forgot which wasn’t in the accommodation was an umbrella. Wouldn’t be something I’d normally expect to be included, more a reminder for people to pack one!

Front yard was way overgrown, back entrance had a steep dirt/rocky path. It would like more presentable if the front was cleaned up and able to enter that way instead.

The house was kitted out with everything required for a short break. Very comfortable. Clear communication with the owner before, during and after. Thank you.

The residential location isn't the most appealing but this is a minor issue for what is a good base for exploring the West Highlands.

Not sure why anyone would give a negative review. It is spacious, clean and A BARGIN!😀👏👏 The surrounding estate is a bit 🤔 but the accomodation itself was great. Also generous with the little extras and had nice clean towels as well etc. Would reccomend! 😀

Too expensive for the offered house!

The landlord was easy to reach and was supportive always. All items you need for the stay incl. a completely equiped kitchen is available.

It is a mid-terrace house in the middle of a housing estate and the facade of the building needs to be renovated. That is why there are no photos of the outside of the building (:-)). However, everyone has to decide for themselves whether they feel comfortable here. We at least had a queasy feeling. Hot water is a matter of luck. The water is usually cold. There is also a water heater in the cupboard in the bedroom. This starts up every 30-60 minutes, so a good night's sleep is not guaranteed. The beds also urgently need to be replaced.

Huge disappointment sorry 😢

The interior was nicely decorated with a well equipped kitchen.

Location was a big disappointment in the middle of a rough housing estate. Parking was a major problem as it was too far from the property and the gardens back and front was overgrown with weeds. There are no pictures of the exterior on the website.

The property interior is great with all mod-cons. Close to town centre, although the paths and pavements are quite steep. Easy access to trails and paths with excellent views.

The property is in the middle of a run down housing estate. Entry into the property is down an overgrown tarmac path or a steep muddy single track. Definitely unsuitable for people with mobility issues.

House is immaculate and very well equipped.

Location is unexpected. A terraced house on a large housing estate. But it was surprisingly quiet despite appearances and everyone was friendly. I suggest you look at Street View before booking so you can make an informed decision about whether its right for you.

Nice property, but questionable location

The inside of the property was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, and there were plenty of blankets and extra pillows in the bedrooms. The second half bathroom was a nice touch.

The property is in a bad location. It is hard to get to from Fort William and the neighborhood is a little rough. Although the property’s yard is in nice shape, many neighbors have yards full of junk. This dissuaded us from spending any time outside or having window coverings open.
