A perfect short stay.

Family-run small hotel with brasserie. Staff were super friendly and professional. I overslept and missed breakfast by an hour. However, it was no problem for them to still prepare something hot for me. Room was comfortable with all mod cons. Slept like a log. Food in brasserie was good and reasonably priced. Hotel is central with a nearby public car park. The town is very small but has a pleasant and lively vibe (I was there 4 days before Christmas). I'd like to come back again in summer.

Pleasant 2 nights’ stay in Torhout

Conveniently located on the Markt of Torhout, hotel brasserie De Beiaard is a pleasant, budget-friendly accommodation with clean rooms and a tasty breakfast. There’s also a cosy tearoom and restaurant with terrace overlooking the quiet market square. Hosts Johan and Chantal are a wonderful husband and wife team who will make you feel at home.

I specifically looked to have breakfast included in the hotel service. It was good and had nice choices.

I had an issue getting the air conditioning to work but once I got it figured out, it was great! For a plus size person, the shower was small.

Great place to stay.

The room was great. Perfect for 1 person on an overnight. Staff super friendly. Location was great and market square just around the corner. Having a place to put a bike was great. Breakfast was very nice with good variety.

Great family hotel

A great, family run hotel, accommodated five cyclists with dirty bikes, providing a secure space for the bikes. The rooms were clean and comfortable and lovely hot shower. Breakfast had something for everyone. Well located for the centre of Torhout.

Excellent place to stay.

Definitely not your regular 2 star, more like 4 star - friendly staff, amazing room, great breakfast. One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Torhout is only 15 minutes on the train from Bruges - a great place to stay without paying premium prices.

Very nice place to stay

Staff were very friendly and helpful, Nothing was too much trouble and they let us have breakfast earlier than normal. Really nice selection of food for breakfast and food in the restaurant was good.

Bathroom was a bit on the small side but we only took an economy room and I'm sure the upgraded rooms are a little roomier. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you need. So no complaints.

I liked the owners, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is really nice and the food was fantastic!

The room was very small and the 2 single beds weren't what I wanted, why have 2 single beds instead of 1 double bed? Also the bathroom was tiny and you can't sit on the toilet without having to stand in the shower :(

Hele fijne eigenaar en eigenaarresse zeer behulpzaam. Eigenaarresse regelde gelijk een taxi voor ons omdat wij dat vergeten waren aan te geven. Kamers waren zeer proper en bedden lagen perfect. Badkamer ook ruim genoeg en goed schoon. Ontbijt was goed met voldoende keus voor ieder wat wils betreft brood, beleg, en drinken.

Doorgang 1 zijde van het bed een beetje aan de krappe kant wellicht bed tegen andere zijde aan plaatsen indien dit mogelijk is

Kleines, aber sehr gemütliches Hotel in toller Lage mit Café und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

Das Badezimmer ist schon sehr klein; hier hat man wenig Bewegungsfreiheit oder kaum Ablagefläche für ein paar Utensilien.

Der Besitzer war unfassbar nett und zuvorkommend. Er hat uns sogar vegane Frühstücks-Alternativen besorgt. Die Lage war perfekt und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt.
