Wey House Withypool

Wey House is a lovely large house that was comfortable and roomy for our extended family. It was pleasant to have milk and a variety of beverages plus shortbread on arrival. The bed linen and towels were good quality. The house was well equipped and homely. We had a very pleasant stay. Withypool is a pretty area, the local river was very popular with the young members of our family for paddling, and there is a well stocked local shop, the local cafe sells a variety of food and ice cream that were delicious. The Crown pub at Exford were very friendly and accommodating and would recommend them to other visitors.

It’s not an ultra modern property but is well equipped, very spacious and homely which made it comfortable. (Maybe a freshen up of the cooker hood wouldn’t go amiss).

We loved the house, much larger than it appeared from the photos, plenty of space for all the family. Although the house was large it was well heated throughout, with a log burner in the snug. The house itself is situated in the village of Withypool, with pub, shop and tea rooms. Lovely area with plenty of footpaths close by. Anita & Toni were readily available to talk to either in the shop, close to the house or via the WhatsApp group they create for current guests.

I can't think of anything that we felt was lacking. The only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer!

The house is huge with lots of space for everyone to be either together or do their own thing . There is a brilliant drying room with the the aga that was super useful . The house feels comfortable and homely.The gardens are beautiful, private and quiet. Set in a super friendly village with a great shop, pub and loads and loads of walks! We met Tony a couple of times and he was super friendly and helpful .
