Mains Street Retreat

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our stay! The warm and welcoming hosts made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The apartment is beautifully decorated, cosy, and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with everything we could possibly need, including a full range of utensils, which made our stay so convenient. Another big plus was having Morrisons just a few steps away—so handy for picking up anything we needed. A lovely, comfortable stay with wonderful hospitality. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

Good location, just off the motorway and within walking distance of the town centre, train station and a big Tesco supermarket. Friendly owner. Good amount of space - separate front room and bedroom. Plenty of utensils, plates etc in the kitchen.

Parking is on-street only, so cannot be reserved and isn't as safe as a private driveway. No washing machine or dishwasher, so for longer stays it would be necessary to find a laundrette nearby. Apartment is accessed via stairs, so unsuitable for infirm and/or wheelchair users. Kitchen items/area could do with a deeper clean - I imagine this relies a bit on previous visitors doing the dishes to a good standard - a dishwasher would solve this problem.
