ホストのヤニスはロードス島出身でイタリアに20年ほど住んでいたこともある、マラソンが趣味のとてもすばらしい人でした。初日は港から夜に着くのでうまく宿に入れるか心配していましたし、最終日は空港に行くため早朝に出発するので無事に移動できるか心配していましたが、なんと初日は駅まで車で迎えに来てくれ、最終日も空港バスの停留所まで車で送ってくれました。おかげでとても安心して旅をすることができました。
はじめのうちはホテルというよりホームステイのような雰囲気に感じて少し驚きましたが、ホストと2人だけしか泊まっていない中でキッチンや洗濯機を自由に使わせてもらえたので、ホステルに宿泊するよりよほど便利でくつろぐことができました。4階からの景色が見えるテラスの雰囲気もすばらしかったです。もちろん、プライバシーもしっかりありました！
中心部から少し離れているので、滞在日数が少なく短時間で観光してまわりたい人は地下鉄までの移動をややおっくうに感じるかもしれません。最寄りのビクトリア駅までは、グーグルマップ表示で15分くらいかかります。しかし、観光地以外のアテネの人々の暮らしを身近に感じたいのであれば、良い立地だと思います。
