The staff were very helpful. Taking a room with tatami mats and a more traditional style bed role did not take away from the trip. I would however recommend a western room for people who require a higher level of comfort than a bed roll which is somewhere between a sleeping bag used for camping and an actual mattress. the shower and toilets were great and the ability to transfer bags from one hotel to another was perfect (Just remember to do it a day in advance).

The room was nice, it was a good size for 2 people and the bathroom was spacious, with separate toilet, and basin. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was good too with complementary shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

The hotel had booked plumbing maintenance to occur during our stay which was unreasonable and poorly managed by the staff. When you book accomodation you expect to have it the full time without the hassle of trades people needing to come at various times. Given we were only staying 3 nights they should have arranged this to be done before we checked in or after we checked out. It would have been less of an issue if this was mentioned prior or if a discount was offered, but given how much we paid it was really disappointing. Additionally, whilst there is a kitchen there wasn't any cutlery, utensils, pots/pans etc to make use of it other than the microwave. There also wasn't any milk or creamer to go with the complementary coffee. The balcony wasn't anything like the pictures - no view/just looking at stuff discarded by another building. The check in was cumbersome - I filled in their online form before arriving, but it was a waste of time as I had to do it all again when I arrived. You will also need access to wifi to access the door code etc which isn't always easy when on the move. The place was quite impersonal - you need to remember multiple codes to get in - the front door code plus a more complex room code. This is tricky for those that are used to just having a key or may be a bit older or less tech savvy. The staff weren't all that friendly - other guests asked for help with a taxi and they declined and didn't even offer any advice just saying we don't do that. Whilst it's a newer hotel that looks nice in the photos, there are a lot of other places nearby we stayed at that we'd recommend over this one.
