Above garage apartment works good for two on Jackson river. River bank is a bit steep at waters edge at property. Easy ride to bike path. Property is shared with other guests who stay in main house and share the driveway and parking area.

Cozy little pet friendly apartment right on the river. It is on the same property as another main rental so just know that you are likely to be sharing the property. However, it is a perfect amount of space for two people and two dogs. There isn't much to do or see in Covington itself but it served as a great layover as we went from New River Gorges to Charlottesville.
Place was super clean, the river was really nice and the bed was very comfy. I'd stay again for sure!

Well maintained property, beautiful surroundings, very close to Jackson River Trail access, which is a bonus. We chose this area to hike and mountain bike and although we needed to travel a bit for accessible trails, we were not disappointed. My recommendations to make this a better rental would be to include basic kitchen implements, such as veggie peeler, can opener, colander, drinking glasses (not just juice size), larger bowls or plastic containers for storing leftovers in the fridge. It would also be beneficial to include a binder or folder of things to do in the area, as well as renter's responsibilities. We happened to find Roaring Run Falls, an excellent hike, that could be included in a binder as an excellent excursion. Overall, we enjoyed our time and would recommend this property. Thank you.
