About this house rental
“Utkiek” is the Low German word for “view,” which aptly describes the house’s location. The house offers a magnificent, unobstructed view of the natural paradise of the former Freepsum Sea. Until recently, this wetland area was considered the lowest point in the Federal Republic of Germany and serves as a resting and breeding ground for many birds, migratory birds, and other native animals. This means that excellent opportunities for hiking, fishing, and cycling are right “on your doorstep.”
Shopping opportunities are available in the nearby towns of Pewsum and Hinte and, of course, in the seaport city of Emden.
Culturally, the small village of Freepsum, through its rural cultural association, offers a variety of select musical events throughout the year.
Freepsum itself is one of the 19 villages in the municipality of Krummhörn and has approximately 350 residents. It is located between the city of Emden and the town of Greetsiel. Both towns, as well as the coast and the dike, are about a 15-minute drive away (approx. 10 km).
The approximately 65-square-meter cottage features a separate kitchen on the first floor with a built-in kitchen unit, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, electric kettle, and microwave, as well as a bathroom with a shower (hair dryer provided). The first floor also includes a living room with a TV and radio, a sleeping nook, and a storage room.
The upper floor also features two bedrooms: a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.
The vacation home also includes two terraces with patio furniture and a grill, as well as a small garden with a lawn for sunbathing and a garden shed.
