We were in town for my daughters wedding, had multiple generations staying and the house was great! Beds were good, kitchen had everything we needed, toys for the kids and convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. Gary showed us around the house when we got there, didn’t see him for the rest of our stay. Overall, great experience!

The house was great! It came well equipped with everything we needed (or could have thought of). Gary, the host, seems to go above and beyond for his guests. We thoroughly enjoyed the front yard and porch as well. Everything was well taken care of and made for a very enjoyable stay!

Loved this house - lots of character and the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever experienced. Comfortable in every way and ideal location for us. Owner super helpful and easy to contact. There were 7 of us - 3 generations - worked well.

My family and I stayed at this property for 7 days in mid June. The house worked great for our group which included 3 couples, 4 single women, and one infant (15 mos.). My mother who is 86, slept in one of the beds upstairs and was able to get up and down the stairs although they are rather steep and narrow. The house was in very good condition and the kitchen was well appointed and worked out well for our group although no large dinners were prepared. Gary, the owner, was very responsive and helpful and check in and out was easy. The location is one block off of MLK Blvd and like most residential areas in east Portland the parking on the streets is limited although there are two spaces on the property with a steep driveway. The house is located within a short drive of many areas on Mississippi, Killingsworth and Alberta with restaurants we enjoy and 1/2 block from Starbucks and a Safeway grocery store. I would rent this property again for a large group.

This house was a great location for our family to stay three nights and attend our daughter's graduation from University of Portland. We had 7 adults and one 9 month old. I think the house is ideal for 8-10 people. The house is close to shopping and other dining options and about a 10 minute drive to campus which made it very convenient since we were back and forth all three days for various campus activities. House was well stocked with everything we needed including baby equipment and even toys so we didn't have to drag on the plane. Gary communicated well, allowed us to have a very early check-in and made sure we had what we needed (he even did a little baby proofing before we got there). Things to keep in mind, this is an older neighborhood and home - the house is lovely and quaint, but due to it's age, doors, drawers and floors do squeak a bit and the staircase to the upstairs is very steep with narrow stairs - I would not recommend any elderly folks using the stairs. We brought my 87 year old dad who is in very good shape, but we kept him off the stairs, so he took one of the downstairs rooms (there are two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom on each floor). Front yard/lawn was beautiful. Back patio with hot tub is small - we did not use the hot tub. Overall, this house worked out well for our long graduation weekend stay in Portland.
