About this house rental

Covid19 update: we thoroughly clean the house with Clorox after each guest.
A charming place, recently remodeled with tons of space. Brand new appliances, kitchenware etc. The sitting areas are on each of three floors, with the full bathroom on each floor too. Covered parking space, good for RV or multiple cars. The beach park on Columbia river is in 3 min drive. Driving to PDX airport is fast and easy, the traffic won't make a huge difference. Going to Portland downtown in non-rush hours is also easy. A lot of restaurants and activities are now in North Portland, which is even closer. Vancouver downtown is literally 5 min away. The only thing I would like to mention, in case anyone is noise sensitive, is the road noise. It didnt bother us at all, but the house is right on the highway. Looking forward to staying again!

We had family members coming into town from different places and wanted a place where we could gather and spend a weekend together. This location provided that ability. There's nothing fancy here. Super clean. Cable TV. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Try it. You'll like it.There are four bedrooms - two on the main floor and two upstairs. The basement also has beds in it (basically a fifth bedroom) and a foosball table. Everyone commented that the beds were comfortable. Overall, we were able to comfortably fit 11 people in this house, including 4 couples, 1 single adult and 2 infants. On Sunday afternoon we had an additional 10 adults over for lunch and the space handled it comfortably.Bring a white noise machine with you and be prepared to play it loud - a very busy highway is about 50 feet from the house. During the day it is not an issue. But if your sleeping would be disturbed by this you may have a rough night of sleep. We played white noise pretty loud and slept sound. Not a knock on the property. If you are prepared for it you should have nothing to fear.

The house worked great for our families attending a wedding in Vancouver. Excellent bathrooms on each floor with great hot water and well functioning kitchen and bedrooms for our group of 12 adults and 4 children. Neighborhood is nice but as noted adjacent to a busy highway. Road noise was not a problem in the house. House is well appointed but a bit worn in spots. We would happily stay again. So

We had a large group of adults over 30 who were in the Portland area for a very low key bachelor party weekend. The house was perfect for the number of people we had and we comfortable and able to cook and enjoy eachother's company for the weekend. My only feedback on the house/listing is that one of the upstair's rooms was listed as 2 twin beds and a queen bed and it was only 1 twin bed and a queen bed so we had to rearrange our initial sleeping arrangements. Host was communicative as well.

There was no room in the house that did not sound like the freeway (that is 50 feet from the house) ran through it. The only thing that drowned out the freeway noise was the squeaky floors. You couldn't sneak down the hall in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom - the floor would wake up everyone in the house. The kitchen was poorly furnished - we even had to go buy a can opener and get some mixing bowls and cooking gear from my daughter's house nearby. The air conditioning in most of the house worked well - but in one bedroom upstairs, the unit there never put out any cold air, so the room was pretty unusable for sleeping. Perhaps as a sauna? There was lots of parking, and it was easy to find. Other than that, never, ever again.

One of the rooms was supposed to have a queen and 4 twins. There were only twins. There is a lot of traffic noise. It worked well for family and friends to stop by during a wedding weekend. Plenty of room to spread out.

Our family enjoyed our extended weekend trip. House is a bit worn but the beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was updated and ample. Good air conditioning. Pretty loud road noise so put the box fan on.

The home was very spacious. Having three bathrooms was very nice. Plenty of room for the eleven of us. (six adults and five children) The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do. The traffic noise took a little getting used to, but the location more than made up for it. The property manager was very responsive. The only thing I would add is more silverware and dish towels. We especially liked to sit at the table outside under the carport in the evenings. All in all a great stay. Thank you for sharing your property.

The Riverview House was great! Vancouver, Washington is a nice area and the location had easy on/off access to the freeway. It was very close to the airport, right outside of Portland and quick access to many different shopping centers. The house was big with lots of parking so it was perfect for family members that needed a place to stay while in-state family were able to come to visit too.

We came to Portland to climb a couple of the cascade Mountains. We used this home as a place to sleep on the nights we were not on the mountain. The home was as described and in a good location. We would recommend the house to anyone coming to visit Portland.

Wonderful stay in the PDX area. With many family members coming in for a wedding, this was the perfect place. There was enough room for everyone to sleep and get ready. Beautiful sunlight coming in the large windows. Perfect for the getting ready photos of the bride and her bridal party. Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay.

Our family was there for the celebration of life for my father. This place was perfect for the amount of beds and sleeping arrangements it offered. We also did a small celebration of life with family and friends and again with the amount of space, it allowed for ample space for all, it was perfect. Michael was great and very responsive when we had a question. The beds are all very squeaky and the couch’s in the living room are not as comfortable especially when we were wanting to just sit around and talk. Freeway/plane noise was disruptive at times …Overall, great location and the space is very beneficial for the main purpose of our time there and the size of the group.

The house was GREAT! This is one of best stocked homes we’ve stayed at. Plenty of linens, dishes, cookware and utensils, which is wonderful when traveling with children. Nice private fenced backyard in a quiet neighborhood. The home is large with plenty of room to spread out if you wanted too! So many options if you like to use door dash and/or Instacart.

Great location. Close to Portland Airport. Close to grocery store. Cute neighborhood. Loved all the windows and very nice landscaping. Driveway big enough for 5 vehicles. Comfortably fit 14 adults and 2 kids. Bathroom, kitchen and laundry stocked with fundamentals for a week long stay. Felt very safe in this home. The only I thing I would add is a small dresser in the bedrooms or place to put suitcases so that I am not living out of my suitcase on the floor. Over all very pleased as were all of us that stayed. Beautiful setting

I chose this property to accommodate not only family and friends but to stage the Celebration of Life for my late husband and it proved to be most perfect. Plenty of room for everyone, including sleeping arrangements for 10 and the setting beautiful. Kitchen provided all necessary needs. I will say this, the hwy noise can be a negative factor but we got passed that and appreciated everything else. Thank you!

Deceptively large location. Seems like it would be small but all of the rooms are large and there is a full basement. Just tons of room and wide open areas that make it great for having lots of folks stay together. Freeway access was super quick and you can see the Portland Airport from the property, so all of that is super convenient. Really enjoyed the stay. Lots of parking. Quiet and nice neighborhood. Freeway is just a few feet away from the house, but we never heard it in most of the house, though one person said they opened a window on the top floor and could sort of hear the traffic but it was more like white noise than an annoyance so that is pretty good.

This house was perfect for our extended family reunion. The layout allowed for lots of privacy for each group with plenty of places to hang out and gather at the table. As has been noted, the couches are uncomfortable, but that’s really the only negative from my perspective. The road noise did not bother us at all, and we loved the view over the river. A well-appointed kitchen and nice bathrooms were greatly appreciated, and the beds were comfortable. TVs WiFi and cable worked fine, and there’s lots of parking for multiple cars. Grocery stores are close enough for quick trips. The drive into Portland is also very manageable. Michael was very responsive in communicating and check in and check out was a snap.

This property is well maintained and as depicted in the listing. Rooms are large and have great light. Nice kitchen. Twin beds were very comfortable. House conveniently located off Hwy 14, which made access easy but there was freeway noise. Great picture windows overlooking the Columbia River and Portland International across the river. Michael was very responsive and helpful during our stay.

This house is BIG with LOTS of beds, 4 BRs, a huge downstairs with multiple beds that can serve as a bedroom or a rec room, and bathrooms on all three floors. The bathrooms on the main floor and downstairs are huge with double shower (heads at each end). The keypad for access was extremely convenient for us, as we were a group of 6 men in town for a 40+ USTA tennis tournament. The house has some dings and scratches here and there and is not overly "precious", which was great for us. It was VERY clean and just a very spacious, cozy place for a home base for our group. If we're lucky enough to make sectionals again, and it's in Vancouver again, we'll definitely be returning! Thank you !!

Some of the beds weren’t as comfortable as advertised. The bathrooms 2 of them, were very nice. The other is in an awkward place. Nice kitchen. Dining room furniture could use an upgrade. Rug under dining room table very dirty.

This is an excellent home for large groups. The apolstry on some of the furniture is not in the best shape and needs some repair, but the beds are comfortable and there are lots of them! There are 3 bathrooms with showers which is great. The kitchen has everything you need and the owners are very accomodating. We will be renting again!
