Enhance your visit to the Sugar Sand Beaches when you stay with us at The Salty Flamingo! The Gulf Shores Plantation Resort is a family-friendly gated beachside resort located directly 13 miles west of the City of Gulf Shores on the Fort Morgan Peninsula. This resort provides three outdoor pools, one being an adult-only (21+) swim. A wealth of amenities is offered, such as 4000 feet of private unspoiled beaches offering sugar-white sand, soft southern breezes, natural sand dunes, spectacular sunrises, and sunsets. You will also find hot tubs, lighted tennis, basketball, and shuffleboard courts, and exercise room. Toss horseshoes with your group before cooking out at the BBQ area. Activities are available for the whole family and make the perfect family vacation.
This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, corner unit located on the second floor. Six can comfortably sleep in the 2 queen bedrooms and a full-size sleeper sofa. Neighbors only occupy one side, and the unit offers a quiet and relaxing vacation vibe. Walk just steps to the beach for days of fun in the sun.
The living room is furnished with a full-size sleeper sofa, two armchairs, and ottomans, along with flat-screen TV, DVD player, cable, and wifi. The sparkling kitchen has a full suite of appliances equipped with everything you need, including a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans, and blender. The master bedroom bed has a separate bath for privacy and a flat-screen TV. The cheerful guest suite has a comfortable queen size bed and a flat-screen TV. There are also board games for evening entertainment. You will also find beach chairs and a sunshade in the storage closet for your use.
A complimentary STARTER supply of bathroom towels and washcloths, shampoos, soaps, one dish detergent pod, one load of laundry detergent, one toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and one trash bag per trash can is provided. You will be responsible for supplying the remainder of the supplies needed for the duration of your stay. Our goal is for you to not have to rush to the store to fight the crowds the first night you arrive.
The Sassy Bass restaurant for convenient dining is on site. You will find Kiva Dunes Golf Club and the beautiful Kiva Dunes Restaurant just a short walk away on the property. For those who would rather fix their own fresh catch, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare a gourmet feast.
If you hear a rumble in the sky, look up! The legendary Blue Angels practice over the Fort Morgan peninsula and you just may have a private show! Devote the day at historic Ft Morgan or ride the Ferry across Mobile Bay to Dauphin Island. Plan a day fishing trip at the nearby marina or just watch the pelicans and dolphins play. There's always enough to do when you visit the Ft Morgan area.

This 2 bedroom condo is an end unit in a large condo complex called Gulf Shores Plantation. It sits right next to another large unit called Kiva Dunes. Because of this the beach was very crowded during our weekend stay in June. But it was well worth it as we literally walked 100 yards down a boardwalk only to get there! The complex has a smaller 21 and over pool , a larger outdoor pool, and an indoor pool with a large hot tub. We used them all. The fort Morgan area is the secluded tip of the island mostly for beach goers. If you want shopping or nightlife entertainment, you’ll need to drive into Gulf Shores, which is greater than 15 min drive. Having known that, this place was perfect for us as we brought all our food and drink and just enjoyed the company of each other in this secluded community.
The condo itself is exactly as described and was plenty big for 4-5 adults. I’d say is kid friendly if those kids are entertained by beach and pool, no playground that I saw. We did have a small beach view from one side of our balcony on the second floor. Overall this is a great little beach unit and I’d stay here again.

We enjoyed our time and would come back again for sure. It was very clean, and had most everything we needed for the 5 of us. Don't forget to bring coffee filters and of you're cold natured, some extra blankets. A wagon for getting things back and forth to the beach is extremely helpful as well!

The condo was as advertised. We cook most of the time we are on vacation, so the ample supply of kitchen items was very helpful! The sofa bed was relatively thin, but served it's purpose. Both beds squeaked, but were clean and comfortable. There were tons of beach toys, which the kids were very happy about and the beach chairs came in very handy. There were no overhead lights in the bedrooms and none of the lamps worked, but with the amount of sunlight through the windows, it wasn't a huge deal. There was also a tray of ribs (cooked) in the oven that the cleaning company missed. Overall, it was a cute little place and at a good price.
