About this house rental
Mandolin Wind is a clean, comfy and charming home located 3 blocks from the beach a mere 5-7 minute walk. No need to rent a golf cart or waste precious time looking for paid parking. Enjoy the beach and then relax on the awesome screened in back porch, watch ROKU TV, or head out to find the best food the Island has to offer.
Our back yard is spacious and includes an outdoor shower, BBQ grill, patio table and chairs. Inside you will find all the conveniences of home including a full kitchen, a huge island with seating, and a large dining table. Mandolin Wind is on a quiet street with year-round neighbors, tucked beneath some shade trees while still providing full sun in areas. This ranch style home is on one level, no flights of stairs to climb.
Within walking distance you will find restaurants, pubs, a taco stand, BBQ, Publix, and Middleton park for summer concerts and farmers market. The new skateboard park is right down the street. Just a short drive to Dairy Queen, microbreweries, a wine shop, beach stores, local craft stores & eclectic gift stores and so much more. A boat ramp is just 6 blocks away.

Great house. Very clean and updated. The owners made sure we had everything we needed. We had a great time. Zero complaints about the house. I will say that you do have to cross a very busy road to get to the beach so with little kids you may want a golf cart. It was our first time in Oak Island at the end of June so other times it may not be that bad.

The property met the needs of our family as expected. Easy walk to the beach...just be careful crossing the main road. Convenient location regarding other services such as restaurants, grocery, etc. Room were clean and comfortable with plenty of room for the kids to play as well. Enjoyed sitting out in the covered porch when the heat of the day passed. Would stay again.

This house was awesome. We could walk to the beach and nearby shops. We loved the location and the house was very neat. The hosts checked in on us to make sure all was good. Will definitely book here again.
