Mountain Retreat

Great spot, plenty of space for a group of 5 and within a reasonable distance to a lot of things. Owner is phenomenal with communication!

Was in the area for WCU orientation for one of the kids. Location was very convenient.

Our family had a very enjoyable weekend. We will definitely refer to friends & family for future stays. We love to cook & the kitchen had everything we needed. It has a beautiful view of the mountains.

We visited a couple of weeks ago to go to the Polar Express in Bryson City. The house is beautiful on the inside. There was plenty of room for all 9 of us. It looks like the owners are still doing some remodeling or upgrades as the extra sitting room downstairs with the tv you can watch is not completely furnished and is VERY cold even with the tiny heater that was available to use. There are no blinds or drapes in the room either and it was super uncomfortable to sit in there at night. The other tv downstairs is only for the gaming system and it was not connected and the owner never got back to me about how to connect that. The beds were comfy. The thermostat auto sets to 64 degrees at night. The kids loved the toys and the play area was a pleasant surprise. We did not have enough towels for all 9 of us but the owner was taking care of that for the next guests. We had to wash towels to have enough. The dryer can’t handle too many items at a time so it took a long time to get all of our towels dry. The owner did offer for me to go buy towels and send her the receipt but we had already been to Walmart and it was nighttime. Also, if you use your gos, it tells you to go left to get to the house. Well, you can’t get through that way it’s blocked so you need to turn right. The house does not fit the neighborhood it is located in. It is WAY too beautiful for its location. It’s a good place to go if you just want to be at the house and hang out. There’s not much to do otherwise.
