We truly enjoyed our stay at this cosy cottage with pool and hot tub facilities, close to Dunster.

Quiet location, clean and tidy

Booked 2 bed house with view but got 2 bed flat above garage. I would not have booked flat above garage as on crutches and external stairs are very hard to do. Flat had no views out of windows, just a bush or the rubbish bins and lean to filled with junk. Funny musty smell in flat. Very cramped and small with very low ceilings. If you wanted to sit at the table you had to move it in to the lounge area and move the arm chair and table had a wobble. Floor not carpeted which meant everything moved when you leant on it, table, armchair and settee. Wifi kept cutting out hourly had to constantly reset it in garage ourselves often at night. TV not smart tv had to get Amazon fire stick. Games room extremely cold, heaters not working. Hot tub half empty and not working. All paths are loose stone not good for anyone with mobility issues. Very dangerous entrance and exit to parking on blind bend.

Difficult to find the reception as not labelled. The edge of the pool tiles need cleaning.

Perfect stay over

It was such a beautiful location, quiet, family orientated, wonderful views and the family were very friendly and kind. We didn't get to use the swimming pool but will definitely be going back in the next few months.

To be honest, there was nothing we didn't like. If the owners could have arranged for the weather to be nicer, but even the wet weather didn't stop the enjoyment of staying there.

We went on a family break 10 of us, everything we needed was there, the place was well kept and plenty to do.

Not good if you have any mobility problems 😕

Before I booked I asked for a shower because I have mobility problems only to find a step of around 10in to get in. I couldn't get in .

Very nice ... would stay again but without dog.

Clean, well equipped little studio apartment on ground floor. Private little patio area. Nice and quiet.

Dog rules ... can't leave alone in property which meant we could not go swimming in pool with partner due to leaving dog alone. I had to take dog to my moms nearby just so we could use the pool. As such we only used it once. I thought we were renting a cottage so wasn't aware of this dog rule but I should have read all the details via website prior to booking. It was a studio inside a cottage so I guess they were concerned about possible dog barking etc.

A peaceful stay and good opportunity to walk on Exmoor.

Lovely location, it is so close to some wonderful walking countryside.

It is a shame that we (myself and the dog) had to walk on the road to get to the nearest footpath.

Family birthday weekend

The house had plenty of room for the entire party with space to have time alone. The children enjoyed the swimming pool and games facilities. It was an easy journey to Minehead for shopping and Dunster Castle for sightseeing.

The sloping roofs in the upstairs bedrooms caused issues for the adults and adolesents in the family as did the little step. The step immediately outside the front door caused one of the adults to fall. It was a bit confusing having bits in each kitchen.

beautiful scenery

The location was beautiful and our bed was very comfortable but for the price just for 1 night we expected a nice welcome pack rather then just a few teabags and there was no toiletries and only 1 toilet roll ..its a very steep price for just one night and you would expect to leave a bit later rather then 10 ..it was a bit tired looking and could do with a freshen up

It wasn’t particularly clean and could do with updating it appeared tired. The hot tub had a nasty smell so wasn’t relaxing.

A break well needed and place that was excellent to stay at

Location was easy to find being right on the main road, On arrival we were showed our place to stay, the cottage was cosy and very relaxing. Loads of things to do as your not far from minehead or porlock, the swimming pool and hotub was excellent recommended !!

Lovely cottage, very quaint with original beamed ceiling. Very good facilities for two people, and a peaceful location close to The medieval village of Dunster, with its castle and pretty cottages. The cottage furnishings were a little dated, but fitted in with the nature of the cottage. The mattress on the bed was a little too soft for us, but apart from that we had a comfortable stay, and hope to return in the future. Our hosts gave us the key on arrival, and showed us around the facilities in the cottage and on site, then left us to experience and enjoy our holiday, perfect for us. It was great playing snooker/pool in the games room, and there was an indoor swimming pool and hot tub also, (although the hot tub was not working for the first few days, when we arrived.). We also enjoyed seeing the two Shetland ponies in the field on site. The site has good facilities for families with children, there’s an area to play football, a trampoline and a children’s play area with swings and climbing frames. Not to mention the pool.

The twin bed mattresses could have been firmer, our first night was uncomfortable until we got used to them. The smoke alarm went off every time you used the cooker/oven, so we had to shut the bedroom door to stop it.
