Everything was excellent! Maria is the best host and so wholesome! Looking forward to going back to Madeira!

Maria is friendly, chatty and generous. She leaves you to work your own way around the kitchen without checking on your every move! If like me you weren't aware, Maria's place is in a massive apartment block, so its important you properly check the address provided with the Block number. Note the rooms are not numbered, but instead have two letters. If you dont have a car, catch the 12 bus up from Stop 15 opposite the Marina and 13 down from the bus stop left of the junction just up the road from the Block. Avoid bus 4 which although stops opposite the block takes twice as long and massively overcrowded in the rush hour

Nothing really, except the price you pay for having access to a kitchen at a reasonable price, is being away from.the centre.

Me and my fiancée traveled to Madeira in the beginning of April 2026. We had the pleasure to meet one of the kindest hosts ever. Maria is a truly kind-hearted and attentive person. When we arrived we were welcomed by her, the place was easy to find, we came by bus from the airport. The accomodation felt like home, it was very clean and well equipped (starting from towels, sanitary stuffs, hair dryer, mini fridge in our room, and also she was very thoughtful because we had 2 little pictures with our capital city Budapest, hanging on the wall (small cutie details). During our stay she surprised us with multiple local snacks, and also after she found out that me and my partner got engaged, she arranged a small gift for us (local good wine, pastries, grapes and a personal message). Near the accomodation we had free parking for our rental car, which was a big plus! Maria made sure everything was clean, she changed the towels every day and took our the rubbish, kitchen was also a BIG plus, and we could wash our clothes too. Highly recommended when you have short/long stay in Madeira! :)

nothing was bad

The room looked nice, is well furnished and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very well stocked - much more than usual - with pretty much everything you'd need.

Same problem as many others had: It's hard to find. I had to have a call to find it, and the person repeated 3 or 4 times that "it's in the photos", as if to ram home the point. There are almost 100 photos, and while they show independent close-ups of certain doors/areas, and isolated outside areas, there's nothing that makes it clear on how to get there as you approach the general complex of multiple apartments and buildings. The provided link will not do the job accurately. There is a huge construction site directly across the road from the bedroom, so there's noise very early almost every morning. Given the location and the surrounding building site, I'd say that this place is overpriced by about €10-15.
