Riad Minami

This is such a beautiful riad in Marrakech with lovely staff and a great rooftop breakfast. The location is near one of the city gates, with easy access to the petit taxis and just 5 minutes to the main square on foot. It's a quiet but safe pocket. Breakfast each morning had just enough variety to keep it interesting – think yogurt with pancakes and breads, fruit, jam, honey and coffee or tea. It's quite a traditional riad – so all the rooms are quiet petite or narrow, and the two floors of rooms (8 rooms) look onto a central courtyard with wooden doors. That means noise can travel but luckily there was only 1-2 other rooms occupied when we were there.

The owner of the riad was very nice and told us the best places to exchange money and eat. He was very hospitable.

The bed was very firm but the AC was nice as well as the shower water pressure.
