Refused to stay as it was so filthy and dangerous

Nothing. The kitchen was absolutely filthy, the microwave was so dirty you couldn’t clean it, as was the dishwasher. The washing machine had a very mouldy wash tablet in the drawer, the whole which was filthy too. Same for the oven, toaster and hob. Saucepan in the drawer was like everything horse filthy with grease, Pyrex bowl and fridge all too dirty to use. The dirt was not recent, it must have been like that for a very long time. The staircase and landing handrail were so loose they were a danger to life. If anyone fell against them, they would not stop you from falling down the stairs, that could result in severe injury or worse. Carpets dirty, bath dirty we stopped looking then. Called the owner who said “really”, I’ll come tomorrow and clean. We told him we refuse to stay and we’re going to find a hotel. Disgusting that an owner that lives locally could not bother to check their property was in a fit state for anyone to stay in. We have asked for a full refund they have offered a partial refund. We will not accept anything less than the full Amon t we prepaid. Don’t book this, you will hate it.

See above it’s was disgustingly filthy and dangerous. We wouldn’t let an animal stay there. Cannot load more pictures only allowed four.

Owners were spot on, cleaning staff not so great unfortunately!

Location, price, and nice house.

The cleaning standard (Crisps in bedroom draws, food underneath sofa and cushions, empty beer cans, empty medication packet this was all found by 4yr daughter), shower temperature control doesn’t work. Had to manual adjust temperature of boiler water. Kitchen ideally could do with me kitchen essentials for cooking. Dishwasher Not working, Downstairs toilet light not working.

Cosy by name, cosy by nature

We loved the quiet location, the house itself is comfortable and had everything we needed. We all slept well and the kids especially loved playing in the garden. The photos don't do the house justice!! Dan and Caroline communicated well. We will definitely stay here again.

In need of a DEEP clean and refresh

The location was good

The house was unclean. Even after the owner organised a clean once we checked in (post our request) it was still grotty. In dire need of a deep clean across the entire house as well as a refresh and maintenance. Bathroom and kitchen were especially unclean. The floors hadn't been mopped or hoovered.

The neighbourhood seemed quiet and safe. The house was beautiful and worth the price. Good value for money

The house was cold as the heating system kept going off. In the shower the water kept alternating between scalding hot and freezing cold and we weren't able to get a balance. So some of us weren't able to shower because of that.

Sad shame other travellers ruined it

This is not a bad review, just an annoyed one because of other travellers not much to like

It was such a shame last time we went such a joy to find somewhere to relax and enjoy .This time, however, it was obvious the hosts had had a problem was told whilst travelling need to put a 100 pound deposit down before entering, so sorted that out then turned up to check in at 3.20 host was still there drove round the block. Upon entering such a shame, the house smelt bad and strongly of bleach no tea coffee or sugar shower gel etc like like time so trip to the shop to stock up for one night stay kids where disappointed whole place had stuff damaged or messy. On top of a long trip, finding money for deposit and extra trips to the shop felt I couldn't relax or the kids was following them around all night cleaning and telling them not to make a mess.The next morning neighbour decided to start drilling at 7.40 am till we gave in and checked out at 9 am kids was already tired and now annoyed I was cleaning till we left as was worried about deposit shame. Again, I didn't want to make it a bad review other travellers' fault but hosts need to be prepared for all this and, if necessary, cancel the booking as we would have travelled back same day but felt we couldn't as it was no refund .The host was good all-around deposit back the next day and good communication, but sadly, we won't be back.

Cosy 3-bed house

The house was lovely, very comfortable clean and in a nice location, it was very well equipped with everything you could need it also had a lovely garden... Our host was just at the end of a telephone if we needed anything, it was just like home from home... Would highly recommend this property we will definitely stay here again when visiting family ... Excellent value for money , thank you Caroline...

Absolutely a home from home! Everything you would need has been thought of including towels, toiletries etc if you needed them. Quiet location Family home Ample free parking 5 min walk to main bus route Host extremely helpful and friendly Without a doubt will be returning

Lovely house with plenty of space for 4 adults and a toddler.

Curtains in the bedroom were very light and we were woken early by the sunlight.

Was a perfect stop off for us. Beds were comfy although I would question the need of curtains in 2 of the rooms ?

We had an issue with boiler while there but was sorted quickly......no main curtains in 2 of the rooms

location, good size

no mattress or pillow protectors. oven trays in oven dirty from last use. no welcome basket as mentioned in email confirmation from host. No information file on how to use appliances, where local shops, attractions are and local emergency contacts. Just a few things which have been overlooked but on the whole nice property.

Lovely cosy family house

This is a lovely well kept house in a quiet residential area, it was perfect for our Family, our host was very helpful and quickly answered my queries. We will be back to stay again and enjoy the delights of Hull.
