Lakefront Home w/ Kayaks & Dock in Hot Springs!

The house was great. The deck outside, the chairs around the fireplace, the kayaks, the dock with slide. All great. Beds were super comfortable. Son caught a few fish. We had snake on our walk way one morning, he played dead then back under the deck. Lots of geese and ducks. Tvs were great in all the rooms, kitchen fully stocked. Tons of blankets and towels. A super cool game room ish with all the old VHS taped and DVDS you could want to watch.

House is a bit dated in some areas & you can tell. Hard to get one of the bathroom lights to stay on. Needs some lighting, maybe solar or something along the walkway down to the water. Super dark at night. About 15-20 minutes from anything in town. Ice maker was broke, but I think my husband may have fixed it before he saw the sign saying it was broke. **We found a roach in the kitchen cabinet our first morning there. I messaged the host who got back to me the next morning letting me know they would send someone out. I told them it was fine that were leaving the next morning anyways and we hadn't seen anymore since that one. After we left the host sent me another message informing me that he talked with the management team and they had never seen one there before and they regularly had it sprayed so they weren't sure what I was talking about. Basically calling me a liar, when I had originally sent pictures. Thing is I neven asked for anything, I was just letting them know. Also, the house is for sale so if you do book be careful as it may sell (however maybe not for the asking price) 😳

Location was great just to sit and watch the ducks and water.

Bath tub could be updated. Could not find a control for tv in bedroom with queen bed.

The home was about 20 minutes from Hot Springs, near a small lake. The facilities were very clean and very comfortable. We had 6 people in our group, and we had plenty of room for our things and for relaxing. We loved the peacefulness of being out away from town but not too far.

There were not enough adult life jackets available (only 2 that we found and we could have used 4), but we did fine without them. We had to go to the store for more toilet paper. Not a big deal as the store was 10 minutes away!

The location was excellent. Right by the water. My kids enjoyed the dock and kayaks.

Appliances were not working properly. It took three days for the fridge to cool down. The oven broiler was hanging from the top of the oven. I pulled several dishes out of the cabinet to use that were dirty. We found mold under the kitchen sink and mouse poop in one of the kitchen drawers. The fiberglass in the tub of the second bathroom was peeling in the bottom. There was no water supply to the slide on the dock so you couldn’t really use it. The pedal boat was broken.
