The place was gorgeous with beautiful scenery and the maids were lovely with very nice cooking. Unfortunately one of our family members had a very serious accident by slipping on wet tiles and falling through a not safety glass window. The window was not repaired for the rest of our stay and they demanded payment of the damage without an invoice or they would have kicked us out within the hour. We also could not use the pool after the accident with glass in the pool. On leaving the villa they requested we pay another 500 to be dropped elsewhere when it had been discussed the previous night with no mention of additional payments. When we said we would just catch a taxi they did drive us So started off well but ended on a sour note

We stayed here for 10 as a family of 6. The staff were fantastic and the place is awesome. It is exactly as depicted in the description. We had no trouble with transport as we used taxis ti get around which never took longer than 5 minutes to arrive. I hoghly recommend it as a place to relax and base yourself.

The Villa is immaculate, beds clean and comfortable, Manfred was helpful and it was lovely to have him greet us on arrival and he gave us alot of helpful information, the villa is protected by two gates so you feel safe. Nam our housekeeper was an absolute treasure and we did not lift a finger, also her cooking is how i gained an extra kilo. The owner was informative and kind. We will be back again soon.

We are now back in the Uk with snow and rain and our thoughts turn back to the wonderful stay we had at Orchid Villa. We have stayed in various places on this idyllic island over many years including luxury resorts but would like to express our thanks to Mike for allowing us to enjoy the peaceful location, wonderful accommodation, cleanliness and service which was second to none including airport collection and return. Me our maid was fantastic, she cooked breakfast and dinner as required of the highest Thai quality and her housekeeping was immaculate, wanted to bring her back with us. We enjoyed relaxing by the salt water pool where our grandson first learnt to swim, overall this is a place we shall certainly return too given the chance.
