Live la Victoria Carril

Nice view to an ocean from both terraces, from iron starway you can lean and see Mt. Teide. Big rooms, lot of space. Ok wifi. Big kitchen ready for cooking, terrace with stove (we didnt try or use), washing machine and space for drying clothes.

La Victoria is quite busy city in steep hills with a lot of one way streets. Not so easy to drive uphill or even park. Queueing to a roundabout might be tricky. It is really cold house, hopefully in summer it gets better inside. We had to use the heater when inside. It also takes some time to heat up the water for bathing. For washing the dishes, we always heated the water on stove (does not deliver hot via tubing). With children, you have to be careful about letting them outside the house as the entrance is directly to street, where cars ride too fast (because climbing uphill).

Very good apartment for its price! Quiet countryside area, spacious rooms. Similar apartments at she cost were much more expensive, so this one was a good compromise. Accessable by car, if you don't mind driving up- and downhill. Free parking a bit further up street, we always were able to find an empty spot there. Kitchen had everything we needed. Microwave was broken when we came, but we got a new one relatively soon after complaining. Great view from the roof terrace - ocean, nearby settlements and even the peak of Teide volcano (if you lean out a bit). The host seem to be a big company, so all our communication was in WhatsApp. Checking-in instuctions were sent in time, and were quite clear. Writing back questions and complains I was surprised to receive instant answers from some AI bot, but it surprisingly well recognised questions and given appropriate information. After a while a real human answers :) They sent us a very gentle guy to buy a new microwave and change a gas bottle. Don't hesitate to ask!

Apartment has quite weak water supply, especially with hot water (it warms up with a gas burner). The location is not just 1.8 km from the coast, but also 470 m above sea level. It means driving up and down, but also the air temperature is 3-4 C less than at the cost. Maybe good in summer, but in winter it was quite cold. There was one electrical heater, which we moved between bedrooms.

Het is een hele schoon en comfortabel huis die je een thuisgevoel geeft. Met een hele mooie uitzicht vanuit het balkon.
