Perfect getaway

Perfect little get away. Loved all the thoughtful extras that came with the place, the milk and orange juice was a nice touch along with a basket of goodies. The fire stove is lovely, and the hot tub is just perfect. The communication with the host was brilliant, we will be back again!

Total peace and tranquility

Everything. We wanted an afternoon, evening and night of peace a tranquility and that is what we got. We weren’t bothered by anyone at all. Beverley and Gary left their contact No on a board in case we needed anything at all which we didn’t. There was a little basket of goodies for our arrival, milk and fresh orange juice in the fridge. The orange juice was to die for! Total rest and relaxation. The hot tub was heavenly. Greeted by some cows in the morning! Will definetley come again.

How cosy and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of Manchester, so clean and the hot tub and fire place were amazing looking up at the stars at nice were an extra treat 🥰

Enjoyable but not exactly what we expected

Hamper was a nice touch, extra flowers etc order was lovely the way hosts set them out. Accommodation was clean & hosts helpful. Hot tub was good & the outside use of bbq & fire. Toiletries etc a lovely touch

This was a disaster and ruined what might have been a happy weekend.

This is a self catering unit. It is situated in a village, a little off the main road. It does not enjoy the beautiful views which appear on the website. There was nothing here which we liked. We decided not to stay here.

This is not a one bedroom apartment. It is not a cottage (the owner told us to look for Woodbank Cottage). It is about the same size as a shipping container- our single garage at home is bigger. About a half of the west-facing wall is taken up with patio doors. On entering, at about 6 pm, the temperature inside was way over 30 degrees. The gap between the doors and the foot of the bed was about 50 centimetres. We have never found any holiday let as small and cramped as this. We couldn’t face staying here and left to go home. We have contacted the owner requesting a refund but she has not responded to our message other than to say she was referring the matter to Booking.com. That was 4 days ago. No one has contacted me since then.

Loved the location,the cleanliness of the property and the hot tub was exceptional by far our favourite property we have stayed at ever

The barbecue was shown to be a big coal burning barbecue however it was a small disposable we was trying to cook a few things on however it only managed to cook 4 burgers and the tray above didn’t heat up enough to cook our skewers. However you can get another barbecue from the hosts if you want

There wasn’t anything we didn’t love about our stay, Bev & Gary have thought of absolutely everything. We wanted something cosy, remote and peaceful and that’s exactly what we got! Whilst cooking our tea on the bbq we booked to go back again and I’m sure that will be the case next time. Absolutely beautiful, already can’t wait to come back!

Perfect couple retreat

Beverly’s place is so cosy and lovely — she has thought of everything you could possibly need. We had the best stay and definitely could have stayed longer; we felt so relaxed when we left. She even provided a little welcome hamper and milk in the fridge. It’s a beautiful place to stay if you just want to unwind in the tub. Highly recommended!

Me and the missus had such a lovely stay here!tucked away in a peaceful, remote village that made everything feel like a proper escape from the noise of everyday life. Super cosy vibes all around! The highlight for me was definitely the hot tub. Perfect after a day of exploring hot, clean, and with a really chilled garden zen like feel. Even though it’s a secluded spot, I was pleasantly surprised that there were still plenty of great places to visit nearby. Whether you're up for a little adventure or just want to relax, it strikes the perfect balance. Would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend if you're after peace, comfort, and a hot tub you’ll fall in love with!

This has everything you need and is perfect for a nice getaway, quiet and out of the way but only 10 minutes to the beach. Wish we booked to stay longer really enjoyed our time here.

Photos looked great on line but it was nothing that it was sold to be.

Hot tub was lovely. Female host was very accommodating and friendly. There was a welcome basket and the fridge was stocked ready with milk and juice. Some lovely touches.

Bed was awful. bedding and pillows were worse. Everything looked so old and used. We did not sleep in the bed and used our own towels as blankets. When you sat on the toilet your knees reached the door, I’m 5’5. Shower had very little pressure or heat (had it on hottest). Felt very exposed and not secluded. The neighbours could see you getting in and out of the hot tub although you can see they have tried. Smaller than anticipated. Felt like you couldn’t make any noise as you were literally two feet from the owners house which was not relaxing at all. The price does not match the property.

ADORABLE IS ANYTHING BUT ADORABLE

The hot tub .The cooker. The fridge. The tv

The Bed.No wardrobe. Seats too low Bed only 40 cm off the floor. Bathroom very narrow. Couldn't get past the sink to get to shower.hsd to store clothe in bathroom drawer.Then you couldn't get them out without walking into the living room area. Had to hang clothes on curtain rail I will never go again. It is only big enough for children. Not adults.

Very nice location, we enjoyed the stay and spent a lot of time in the hot tub, which was a nice way to relax. We have used the barbeque as well. I also loved the fact that it was very clean and quiet. Definitely recommend!

Very well decorated and presented throughout and really good use of the space. Loved the hot tub and the fact that it was completely private, hosts have thought of everything for you. Picnic basket on arrival was a lovely touch too.

No rose petals on the bed as discussed and a couple of stains on bedding and towels but apart from that, couldn’t fault it.
