A beautiful and quiet country apartment still only a short drive into Aix. Lovely hosts!

The hosts are a lovely couple and the location is the second floor of their country home. There was ample room for our family and the location is beautiful and very quiet (a nice change after 10 days in London and Paris). They have chickens and adorable goats which our kids LOVED and it was a pleasure getting to know our hosts a bit. They also were exceptionally kind and acomodating when we needed to do laundry or in taking the kids to see the animals. Also, the apartment upstairs had bunk beds and kids toys which was great for our three boys.

We loved the rural setting but it is a ways out of town and for some travelers this MAY not be what they are expecting (more so than we expected but we enjoyed it) or looking for. Finding them required a bit of coaching as Google maps wasn't sufficient on it's own. That said, they provided clear instructions which we messed up slightly while driving and navigating and managing kids so no fault of theirs.

Chambre d enfants : c était Noël avant l heure, les enfants étaient fous en découvrant tous ces jouets et livres ! Ils ont aussi adoré l extérieur avec les moutons même si le temps ne nous a pas permis d en profiter à 100% Sinon dans sa globalité, l appartement est spacieux avec une jolie déco

Idyllisches Haus mit großem Pool

Das Haus ist sehr stilecht und sieht typisch provenzialisch aus. Der Pool ist riesig und liegt super idyllisch im Garten des Hauses, man hört überall die Zikaden zirpen. Die Lage ist gut, da man mit dem Auto in 15 Minuten im Stadtzentrum von Aix-en-Provence ist. Die Vermieter waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir durften unsere Koffer auch nach dem Check-out bei ihnen stehen lassen und nachmittags wieder abholen, da wir noch einen Ausflug unternommen haben. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wahnsinnig gut, die Unterkunft ist sehr günstig. Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer mit 2 Bädern, zwei Schlafzimmer teilen sich ein Bad. Man hat von den Fenstern in zwei Schlafzimmern einen schönen Blick auf den Garten und den Pool.

Man sollte bei der Buchung beachten, dass das Appartement mit 3 Schlafzimmern nur die obere Wohnung umfasst. Es gibt zwar eine Dachterrasse, aber von dieser hat man wegen einer hohen Mauer leider überhaupt keinen Ausblick - weder auf den Garten noch auf den Pool. Der Pfeil auf dem Foto dieser Bewertung zeigt auf die Terrasse, die hinter dem Dach ist. Das heißt, man hat den Pool- und Gartenblick, der in der Beschreibung angegeben ist, leider nur von den kleinen Fenstern im Schlafzimmer aus (siehe umkreiste Fenster auf dem Foto). Auf der Terrasse ist es tagsüber zu heiß, um sich rauszusetzen. Auch die Überdachung am Pool ist kaputt, sodass man hier auf Schatten der umliegenden Bäume angewiesen ist. Der Geschirrspüler ist nicht in der Küche sondern in einem kleinen Haus neben dem Haupthaus. Die Tischtennisplatte hat ebenfalls schon bessere Zeiten gesehen und ist etwas moosig. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist abenteuerlich und führt über verwinkelte, enge und holprige Schotterwege.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dieser wunderschönen Gegend! Die Gastgeber waren äußerst freundlich und haben uns herzlich empfangen. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die ausführliche Wegbeschreibung, die uns geholfen hat, problemlos anzukommen. Die Umgebung ist einfach traumhaft und bietet viele Möglichkeiten zur Erholung und Erkundung. Wir können diesen Ort nur wärmstens empfehlen und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!
