Three generations of one family living in three different continents but getting together. We all enjoyed the facilities of Wyvern house. - the youngest enjoyed the play area and trampoline and Lego and books games and puzzles. The teenagers - aged 16 enjoyed the sun deck , hot tub and Sauna as did the parents - and the hours of chatting , and watching the lionesses reach the Euro2025 finals! And we all enjoyed the beach(es) and exploring Bude

Wyvern House is as described in its listing. We were a family of 10 adults, 6 children and a couple of dogs. This first week of August the weather was not at its best so we had to use the house more than we expected. Due to its size and its facilities it allowed us to still have some fun when the weather was too bad. Its location is ideal as it is only 5 to 10 minutes walk from all amenities including restaurants, beach and shops, whilst still being in a quiet residential area. Darron, the host, was very responsive to any queries and Pauline was also helpful (hope my birthday cake was ok, btw). All in all a lovely week in Bude.

Right from the start we had a wonderful positive experience renting this beautiful property. We were a group of 11 8adults and 3 children. The place was absolutely spotless and homely. It was so well equipped we found everything we needed as we ate breakfast there each morning. The games room was a bonus in the evenings as was the lovely outdoor space. It was such a comfortable environment to relax in. It is situated in an excellent area so convenient for the town. Our host was so helpful on our first day which we appreciated so much after a long journey. The info pack is really useful too with great suggestions. We can honestly recommend this excellent property and want to thank Darron and his family for making our stay so memorable.

“Superb” and “fab-u-lous” were how our family described this property. Not only did it exceed all expectations in terms of size and facilities but it was beautifully decorated for Xmas with two lovely trees and welcome treats including a locally made xmas cake! Darron is a really exceptional host who always responded quickly and provided detailed helpful information both before and during our stay. We were a group of 12 including grandparents, small children and teenagers and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and spend time together. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything that we needed for a large Xmas dinner. We also really appreciated the location, close to town and an easy walk to the beach and children’s play area. Thanks Darron! We would definitely love to come back 😁

Darron was a great host and very helpful. The property had everything we needed, and more. It was in the perfect location with a walk to the town only a few minutes with still being located on a quiet street. A handy petrol station shop at the end of the road and a pub and park also a short walk meant we had everything in handy distance. The property itself was clean and had everything needed for our stay. Darron checked the hot tub everyday and was around if we needed him. I would definately recommend this property. Thank you Darron for making our trip a good one!

We have just got back from a family holiday staying at Wyvern House for a week. There were 10 adults and 1 child and Wyvern House was the perfect place to stay, spacious clean and located near the beach and all the amenities. Darron was extremely helpful before and during our visit. I would highly recommend this property for large groups. Thank you Darron

Fantastic house, just what we needed for a family celebration. Spacious accommodation, loved the decking and lower garden, ideal for the twin grandchildren. Games room and hot tub a plus, kept us all amused evenings. Darron an excellent host who responded when we had problems with the dishwasher which had to be replaced. Some of the light bulbs didn’t work and needed replacing. The house being able to be divided up was excellent, ideal for our son’s family with four year old twins. We had a wonderful stay, would come again, roll on the next family celebration! Would definitely recommend. Thank you Darron.

Arrived early and was able to park on the drive, which was gratefully appreciated. The location was great for the beach, town and restaurants. The accommodation was everything we asked for and more. Which suited all ages in our party ranging from 16-76.

I stayed at Wyvern with my whole family - 15 people from aged 9 to 79 and everyone had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and very well situated close to the centre of Bude with all of the shops, pubs, restaurants, the canal, river and the beach all close by. Also close to 2 large supermarkets which came in very handy. The outside decking area in the garden was a lovely place to sit in the day or the evening - could have done with some sun shades as we were there during the hottest week I can ever remember, but it didn’t stop us spending more time there than anywhere else. The rooms were lovely and the beds were very comfortable and the house was very practical and well equipped. The local pubs were lovely and even in these difficult Covid times were friendly and welcoming. Particular favourites were the Brendon Arms & Falcon hotel for drinks. I highly recommend a walk along the canal out of town to “The Weir” cafe-bistro. Lovely food in pretty surroundings. Darron, the host, was extremely helpful and friendly and coped with all of my questions and requests when planning the holiday, not least of all moving the holiday for us with no fuss at all due to the pandemic. A wonderful holiday, and considering when we went the house, the area, and the local business all coped extremely well during the (hopefully) tail-end of the pandemic. I can’t thank Darron enough for everything and we hope to be back again some day.

i had booked this holiday stay for six residents and three staff. before their holiday began, I asked many questions to the owner, who in turn replied and answered any questions that I had very quickly, two days before the arrival date the owner phoned me and asked if there was anything he could do to ensure that my residents were looked after and if there was anything he could put in the holiday property just to make things easier for my residents, this community care from the owner was outstanding, and very much touched me. I have booked many many holiday lets, and have never been asked that question before, (thank you Darron for your kindness) I was also guided by Darron the best supermarket for a home delivery. when all my residents returned home they could not wait to tell me what a beautiful holiday they had and a beautiful holiday let, my staff also informed me that Darron was so nice and helpful, and explained where local restaurant's are, and local places to go also, my staff said how clean the holiday home was also. my residents are already saving up for the next holiday next year, at the same place. (well if you have found the perfect place why go elsewhere) but after all the lovely feedback I had from staff I think I may close the office up for a few days and join my residents and staff for some of this fun fun fun that they had without me. WE HAD A LARGE GROUP WITH 2 DOGS - COMMUNICATION WITH THE OWNERS WAS FIRST CLASS. LARGE ACCOMODATION WITH A LOVELY GARDEN AND DECKING AREA WITH LARGE TABLE, SAUNA AND HOT TUB. THERE WERE 14 OF US AND THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM WITH A LARGE KITCHEN AND AN OUTSIDE BARBEQUE. THE LOCATION IS IDEAL FOR THE BEACH ABOUT A 10-15 MINUTE WALK AND ALSO VERY CLOSE THE TOWN CENTRE. WOULD DEFINATELY RENT THE HOUSE AGAIN.

House suitable for our large family with lots of room. Loved the jacuzzi and sauna kept us all entertained. Garden enclosed for the dog and space for children to play. Even when weather was full we found plenty to do. Good pub called Brendon Arms which managed to get 15 sat down together for a meal and food was good. Had a great time the house was everything we wanted.

We were a group of four families (16 in total) staying here for a week. The property was spacious enough for all of us and well equipped. There was the added bonus of the hot tub, sauna and spa treatment room which we all took advantage of. The large terraced area and BBQ were also well used with the amazing weather we had. Darron, the owner, was very helpful both beforehand with suggestions of restaurants and activities for our stay and while we were there with any requests. The location of the house is fantastic, 5 minutes walk to the town and beach and 2 minutes walk to the beautiful canal area. We will definitely be planning a return visit.

This was the perfect house for our group which consisted of 5 families all wanting a weekend away together. Children ranged from 6 months to 14 years and it suited them all, safe kitchen and lounge layout for busy toddlers running around, wifi and games for the older kids and teenagers! Great facilities with the hot tub and sauna, perfect for the adults when the children were in bed! Short walk to the town and beach. Great Chinese takeaway nearby. Darron the owner was very helpful throughout the booking process and also contactable during the weekend just in case we had any queries. I am sure we will be back next year. We had a fantastic stay at Wyvern House.Three families comprising three generations; the house was clean and spacious and the huge decking area was great on sunny evenings for an al fresco meal.There is plenty to do in Bude and the surrounding areas,don't miss the pedalos,the sea pool at Summerleaze beach and the beautiful cliff walks all along the coast.Darron was really helpful and lent us wetsuits for the week and gave us loads of great tips for body boarding and surfing.Highly recommended.

We have recently returned from a fantastic week in Cornwall staying at Wyvern House. It was my Mother-in-Laws 60th Birthday treat and there were 12 of us in total, 8 adults and 4 children and the accommodation couldn't have been better. This house is ideal for larger groups with ample of space both upstairs and downstairs, with plenty of seating and a lovely sunny outside area. The garden is a real suntrap and every afternoon we would come back from our day out and relax on the decking with a glass of wine as we watched the sun go down. The first evening we were there it was beautiful so we put the BBQ to use immediately. There is also a lovely hot tub and sauna which was a real bonus and a great way to unwind after a busy day of exploring. The location of Wyvern House is absolutely spot on. Situated down a nice peaceful residential road you’re tucked away from it all but walk just 5-10 minute round the corner and the beach, shops and restaurants are on your doorstep. There is also a Morrison’s supermarket just 3 minutes drive away so great for all the self catering essentials. Bude makes the perfect base to explore North Cornwall with picturesque villages such as Tintagel, Port Isaac and Boscatle all within a 30 minute drive away. Also not far away is the Camel Trail which runs between Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin. We hired bikes from Wadebridge and had a lovely ride along the beautiful estuary to Padstow. It’s a totally flat path all the way so can be enjoyed by everyone no matter your age. Also I must say a bug thanks you to Darron who was great throughout our stay and really made sure we had everything we needed to make our holiday comfortable and enjoyable. We had a wonderful holiday full of fond memories and would love to return in the future.

Wyvern house was a great place for our friends and family get together. It was very clean and the facilities were to an excellent standard. There was plenty of room for us all and it didn't feel crowded even though we were a large group. The hot tub and sauna were a great addition to the property. Perfect for warming up after a cool dip in the Sea pool at Summerleaze beach only 10 mins away. The property was great but I also have to mention that Darron was so helpful in the run up to our weekend, he responded quickly to enquiries and made some excellent recommendations for local restaurants. I would highly recommend this house and Darron for a group weekend away!

What a lovely house, perfect for a large family group. The hot tub and sauna were well used and the treatment room perfect with 4 of our group enjoying a treatment provided by a local masseuse. The access to beaches and town were also great, not forgetting the local tapas bar and bike hire. That with the perfect summer weather in april a great break. M
