About this house rental
Our lake home is located directly on beautiful West Lake Sylvia. It is a private, peaceful retreat that offers 150’ of lake shore with lovely lake views. Hummingbirds, dragonflies, bullfrogs and loons abound. Very few bugs make relaxing outside or playing on the water carefree.
Sunset Ridge looks over 150’ of the uniquely special Lake Sylvia. Lake Sylvia is known throughout the region as one of the clearest and cleanest lakes in Minnesota. The lake is a combined 1,524 acres (78’ & 97’ deep) and spring fed. One of the few lakes that has NO ALGAE bloom any time of the year. Northwoods feel within 1 hour drive west of the Twin Cities.
Very close to local restaurants, downtown shopping in Annandale as well as Powder Ridge Winter Recreation Park in Kimball, short drive to Stanley Eddy County Park for hiking and cross-country skiing.
Located in an exclusive neighborhood at the end of a private road, this spacious, comfortable home is perfect for entertaining multi-generations.
A true lake experience, you can gather with friends and family, lay by the lake, cook a meal, throw in a fishing line, soak in the sun; cross-country ski, snowshoe across the snowy trails, downill ski and snow tube and local ski area, and enjoy the fire pit in the evenings.
The space
The open concept rambler has a main level kitchen/eating area/sitting area and family room, with TV and wood-burning fireplace. Also on the main level is a bathroom/laundry room as well as a king bedroom, bunkroom and shared full bathroom.
The lower level has a queen bedroom with a lovely lake view, and an additional bunkroom and a full bathroom. The lower-level spacious living space area features a full wall of sliding glass doors to the outdoor patio overlooking the lake, a gas fireplace, TV, large kitchenette, and walkout lake access to a wonderful multi-level patio with a hot tub and fire pit. Private sandy beach with easy entry access.

This lake house had everything. The house was clean and very comfortable. The yard and patio was perfect for enjoying the weather and the lake. They had everything we could need to enjoy the lake. The fire pit was well stocked and we had smores every night. It was perfect 10/10

You’re welcome the moment you walk in and see the spacious great room with a view overlooking the sparkling lake. Downstairs you’ll find plenty of room to gather to talk both indoors and out. We enjoyed a host of games on the patio as well as the hot tub and fire pit. Mornings with coffee on the dock. Afternoons on the pontoon boat or paddle boards on this quiet bay of Sylvia. Dinner prepared in the perfectly appointed kitchen. Games around the huge wood table that comfortably seats 8 adults. Even on the days we had rain, we cracked open the puzzle cabinet and watched movies. The owners are responsive and have thought of everything you might need for a relaxing and memorable stay.

This was a fabulous place for our family to enjoy and make great memories. The house is welcoming, comfy and well stocked. The lake is beautiful with clear water and plenty to do in and on it. The weeds are a bummer but we just boated to clear water and had a ball. The best VRBO we've ever rented.
