First of all A big thank you to Sue, she is a great host, very helpful and friendly. The Fox Cottage was very cosy - very peaceful and relaxing with everything we needed, including a very nice welcome basket with home made brownies which we enjoyed when we arrived after a very long drive.
The Fox Cottage is spacious, very well equipped and well situated not far from York and the North York Moors. The appliances in the house are modern and work very well. We found the beds comfortable, clean and well maintained. The cottage itself was very easy to access with a nice private accessible drive leading to it, off of the main road.
The only minor downside was that the Wi-Fi did not reach all areas of the property, and there was no phone signal, but that was not a priority during our stay.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with great service from the host. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic time in Sues converted barn. Sue had arranged a perfect welcome with brownies and a starter package with toast, jam and marmelade, milk and butter.
The barn is equipped with all that is needed, and the location provides calm and relaxation.
Sue is very supportive and friendly and is always available for recommendations.
This was our first holiday in Yorkshire, and thanks to the cosy barn, Sue, and the vèry friendly people in Yorkshire, we will gladly come back.
Our whole family, including both of our dogs, definitely and fully recommend this holiday home, thanjs for a great time, Sue!

This is our second time staying with Sue. We have now stayed at both cottages and both are equally lovely. Very clean and tidy and a feeling of home away from home. Very easy to book and check in. Sue is a top notch host who is very friendly and willing to help us with any questions we had. Overall, our second stay was as delightful as our first stay 5 years ago. Thank you!

Stayed at Fox Cottage for 2 nights with my partner and her immediate family for her 30th birthday. Sue was the perfect host before and on arrival. She kindly put our celebration banners up ready for our arrival and arranged the home baked cookies along with our welcome basket, which were delicious!
The cottage was lovely, spacious and immaculately clean with all the appliances, crockery etc needed for a home from home stay. The availability of the DVD player, wii and games trunk outside in the court yard area were perfect additions that kept the children happy and occupied during our stay.
Overall excellent accommodation that made the perfect family break away, all family members would love to stay again!
Thanks Sue x

We had a lovely time. The cottage was perfect with all the home comforts. On arrival there was a lovely little hamper to get us going including some beautiful cupcakes. It was very comfortable and perfect with great outdoor space, including a some sports equipment including swing ball that our kids loved. The local town of Pocklington was lovely with everything in it along with a lovely market on a Wednesday, and you can walk there along the canal though it is quite a walk. It was also close to York yet the coast wasn't far off either.

We are a family of four and stayed for a weekend. Sue is a great host and the welcome package, (milk, bread, etc) she left us was pleasant and very handy surprise! The cottage is very well equipped and has a comprehensive inventory of kitchen items should you wish to cook your own meals. We would definitely recommend.

After a very warm welcome by Sue, all four of us immediately fell in love with this cottage, which had everything to make us feel right at home during our stay. When we came home to the cottage after a busy day out visiting beautiful Yorkshire, the calm location made it easy for us to recover. It was just perfect for us, we couldn't have wished for more (except for a longer holiday).

We really enjoyed our stay and would come again, Wheelchair access was managed by us but could be improved we could not get into front of property and Sue showed us an entrance to rear which worked. However to make it an easier more enjoyable holiday changing the pebbles out back to a paved path with door step access ramp or putting a ramp to one of front doors which really make the cottage wheelchair accessible. Upstairs bedrooms was very comfortable. The soa bed downstairs was quite uncomfortable to sleep on. Changing this to a double room which make it much more enjoyable. A games snug could be made at top of stairs for the children. The kitchen area was really well equipped and clean and tidy with a lovely home welcome pack home made buns, bread, milk, snacks, ham eggs from farm etc. Nice touch. Loved star gazing in the back yard.

Lovely surprise to the arrival of homemade cakes and some fridge/cupboard supplies! Cottage was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for a nice long weekend in Yorkshire. Good value for money also. I have stayed in a number of properties within the UK and would definitely recommend this one.

Lovely welcome and a beautifully presented cottage. Roomy enough for large family. Sue was so accommodating and we had a lovely stay. Great location with York short distance away. Nice walks nearby. Highly recommend.

Cottage house was lovely and had everything you could possibly need in it.
But is not on a dairy/arable type of farm as i thought it was, it is on a transport haulier's yard. There is no opportunity for "country walks" or to do anything.
The cottage is only good as a base to visit york or somewhere else but i could have done that from where we live in leeds

We just wanted to say a big thank you to Sue the owner who kept us informed every step of the way through the booking process and allowed us to have a late check out as my husband was running the Yorkshire Marathon! The barn conversion was spotless and had absolutely everything you needed either for a weekend or a week long Stay. When we arrived Sue had kindly left us a lovely welcome basket with home made chocolate brownies, milk, fresh eggs, ham and the list went on which was much appreciated after our journey. She also had a post it note holding what the majority of teenagers see as being the most important piece of information ever, the WiFi code and password which made our daughter very happy 😊 We cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough to either families or groups of people as the the sleeping arrangements are very flexible and the barn itself is very roomy with a lovely outdoor area to chill and eat weather permitting!!
