About this house rental
The Reetdorf Malerhaus Torflinse welcomes you to an idyllic location in northeastern Schleswig-Holstein, just 500 meters from the Baltic Sea beach. Built in 2018 and most recently renovated in 2025, this exclusive five-star vacation home combines high-quality comfort, sophisticated amenities, and spacious living areas across 110 m² of living space. The architecture, in the classic thatched-roof style, blends harmoniously into the rural surroundings and promises a special living experience for up to five people—ideal for families, couples, and guests seeking relaxation. The Malerhaus Torflinse opens up entirely new vacation possibilities alongside the Malerhaus Torfstich, located right next door. Large or multigenerational families, as well as close friends, can enjoy each other’s company and spend time together across 110 square meters per half of the house without sacrificing privacy. The houses are connected only by the utility room, so you won’t hear a thing from the neighbors unless you want to.
Since there is no connecting door, each half of the house can, of course, be booked separately.
A standout feature of this temporary home is the exceptionally beautiful view of the Baltic Sea, which you can enjoy from both the sunny terrace and the sofa. The modern kitchen is open to the living area and has everything you could want: a glass-ceramic stove, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, a wide range of kitchen utensils, as well as a kettle, toaster, and blender are all at your disposal. In the spacious living area, you’ll find a cozy sofa nook, a wood-burning stove for cozy evenings, a dining area, and modern entertainment technology with three satellite TVs (including international channels) and high-speed Wi-Fi (starting at 100 Mbit/s).
The three rooms are spread over two floors. The lower sleeping area and the directly adjacent bathroom are free of thresholds and obstacles, making them wheelchair-accessible and easily usable by guests with limited mobility. Three bedrooms with hardwood floors and comprehensive privacy and insect screens on all windows ensure a restful night’s sleep. Two modern bathrooms, each with a walk-in shower, a separate guest restroom, and a bathtub offer a high level of comfort—a private wellness area with an on-site sauna invites you to relax.
The property, featuring a spacious lawn and a garden shed, covers 1,000 m² and offers plenty of space to tailor your vacation to your own preferences. In the Bike Home, you’ll find sun loungers, an electric grill for a relaxing barbecue evening, and a secure place to store your bicycles. From the on-site beach chair, you can enjoy the sunsets and watch the wild horses. Our younger guests can dig in the sandbox at the central playground and really let off steam on the climbing tower.
All houses feature a unique atmosphere and an eco-friendly living environment thanks to the use of natural building materials such as thatch, wood, and brick.
In winter, you’ll enjoy the comfort of underfloor heating, which switches to thermal cooling in summer. This is made possible by eco-efficient heat pumps. Thanks to electricity generated on-site from wind and solar energy, the entire Reetdorf is carbon neutral.
Convenient extras such as a washing machine, dryer, safe, drying rack, ironing set, and vacuum cleaner are at your disposal. Each of our houses offers two parking spaces for easy loading and unloading right outside the door.

Nieby and the green region around the Schlei offer numerous opportunities for biking, hiking, Nordic walking, birdwatching, fishing, boat trips, sailing, surfing, and horseback riding along the Baltic Sea.
