We spent 4 lovely days at Giulios place. Located on a hill between olive trees and next to a lemon tree: there is no better place to enjoy your morning espresso. Even in bad weather, the view is still stunning. Giulio was a great host: always supportive, available and kindly brings bread rolls every morning. Just don't make the mistake bying olive oil in the supermarket - you can get it directly from him and his garden. He keeps the place cleand and tidy. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Pisaloc. A long, winding drive into the hills gives way to fantastic views of Lake Garda and the peaceful, less commercialised west coast. Giulio and Domenica were perfect hosts, from meeting us in the village, to arranging trips, to the fresh bread in the morning and of course the home made olive oil and wine. If you like busy, thriving resorts the this is not the place for you. If you prefer to relax in the hills with wonderful views and peace the this is a must

We spent a couple of days in the pleasant and lovely house of Guilio. The house is in the middle of a big and beatific olive glove. It is situated half way up the hill and therefore offers magnificent views of the lake and the surrounding areas. You will be super happy with the spacious garden where you can enjoy breakfast or dinner. The house is a 10 minute car ride from the toscalona village so you need a car to move around. There is a pizzeria nearby where you can go by foot. Excellent value for money. Overall a perfect place if you prefer a quite and stunning place with lovely hosts over mass tourism. We would definetly come back again!!!

Still sitting on our little terrace, a little sad at the thought of leaving tomorrow. This place brought us relaxation for mind, body and soul! The nice hosts, Domenica and Guilio made our little holiday a perfect on. We will come back and that's a promise!

We spent a wonderful and restful week at the Pisaloc Farmhouse. The entire lake is accessible from this spot whether you are headed on daytrips north/south or across lake by ferry. We spent many a quiet day relaxing outside among the olive trees. The area is great for walks and hiking in the surrounding hills. The Farmhouse also overlooks a nice golf course. We enjoyed Mr. Comboni's olive oil, it added a tasty local flavor to our meals. Inside, the house offers all the basics without frills and the view of the lake from the kitchen is stunning!

A well maintained room with beathtaking views over the lake. It exceeded our expectation and was a lovely place to stay. Guilo made us very welcome and was very frendly throughout our short stay. You really need a car and walking in the mountains requires a certain level of fitness. Sitting in the garden looking at lake in the early evening was just stunning and very relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone with a car who wants a relaxing holiday.

We stayed here as part of our 10 day road trip to Italy. After 2 one nights stops in France and Switzerland it was the perfect place to chill out for 3 nights before heading off to Venice. The double room and en-suite was a great size for two people, clean, comfortable and simply furnished. The door opened out directly to views of the owners grape vines and beyond to Lake Garda, the mountains, and lakeside villages. A single track winding road leads yuo up to the property, and takes you up to the tranquil mountain side - half way up there is a pizza restaurant (a good selection of great Italian dishes too), we can recommend a glass of grappa before walking back! We enjoyed wandering around the local towns of Toscalono/Maderno, Boliaco. Salo is a great place for shopping and eating out. There are ferry crossing from Toscalano (5 mins drive), which we used to get to Sirmione - which had a lot of historic buildings (the Roman baths were closed as it was a Monday), however we found there too many tourists there for our liking. We also drove up the coast to Riva and although the drive was beautiful, Riva seems to be geared up for watersports and lounging on the beach - but we couldn't find the shops!!! The owner of this property makes wine and olive oil from the vines and trees covering the moutainside, and as we write this review we are drinking a bottle of the his wine. The owner is welcoming, helpful and also considered also our privacy. Breakfasts on the terrace were a nice way to start the day. So we raise a glass to Giulio for being a great host, and for the perfect start to our holiday before heading off to the madness of Venice. We would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an authentic Italian, rustic retreat. Hope to go back one day.
