Location of the property is close to Yosemite which is why we chose it. About 1 hour drive to Yosemite Valley (30 minutes to park entrance). The cottage was clean and comfortable. Internet, washer,and dryer. Beds were great. Found it very quiet We didn't cook there but could have. Cottage is a little over a mile to Oakhurst. Lots of restaurants, a Vons (grocery) store, gas stations,etc..

This was a nice cozy cabin with a nice updated kitchen. It was quiet with out in the country peacefulness. It is small but perfect for two people. The automated outside lighting was appreciated when we returned after dark. The cabin was supplied well.
The major negative was the electrical service. We were warned with cabin instructions not to turn on certain units at the same time. This does not seem acceptable for a commercial rental and I was not comfortable with it.
The other problem was the registration and communication with VRBO. My daughter has an account also. Our registration went to her name and email even though we stated my name, email and phone in the registration. My daughter contacted VRBO with our information. It did not correct the problem. Also the communication with VRBO was terrible. I was concerned that after weeks of the registration I did not know the address of our stay. Also I tried to contact both VRBO and the host to get an address and the host's phone number but no success. Finally, two days before our arrival date, our daughter forwarded an email with needed information. Its fortunate she forwarded the email that we should have received directly, or we would have lost our payment to VRBO for a rental with no idea how to get there. This all added a bitter taste for a get away for my wife's birthday.

The Daisy cottage was my first vacation and I have to say I was very impressed. Check-in and communication was smooth and easy karol and Eric made themselves available at all times. The home was exactly as described. It’s beautiful It’s peaceful and it’s welcoming. I’ve always had a hard time staying in hotels and to be on an extended stay in this cottage made it so comfortable like if I was at home. Having access to Bass Lake, Yosemite Park and Yosemite trails was so fun so easy and convenient not to mention there are many other things within close range. I definitely will be returning to this cottage. My family and I had a blast I was so glad this was an enjoyable peaceful vacation can’t wait to check it out in the winter. 😊
