There may be intermittent impacts to resort amenities during the project.

These outages are part of the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) strategy that is being implemented across the island to proactively shut off power to help prevent wildfires when certain conditions exist. The Hawaii Electric Company expects these precautions to remain in place on the Maui, Oahu, and Hawaii Islands for the foreseeable future. As noted, these outages could occur at any time and may last for up to one to three days.

Stayed here with a family of five and found everything to be as advertised. The unit is conveniently located on the main floor with quick and easy access to the lobby reception, communal kitchen, hotel convenience store (very helpful with lots of things you might not want to go into town to purchase) with view in the balcony overlooking the pool area. Great location, although the beach front a minute's walk north might be better for swimming (less coral) for kids. Five minute walk to Whaler's Village. Safeway grocery store within 5 minute drive. Staff was friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Minor request is that the staff could be more amenable for late checkout. Who wants to wake up early during a vacation stay? Management seems to be insensitive to customer needs

We had a nice relaxing vacation at Marriott's Maui Ocean Club. I guess we didn't read the description closely enough. We expected a full kitchen. We even bought ingredients to make cookies. So we were disappointed to not have a stove or oven. We have stayed other Marriott vacation clubs and also expected to have a washer and dryer. On this property, they do have a communal place to cook on stoves and they also had a public place where we did laundry.
Our room was clean. We had good customer service from Vacation Candy and at the resort. We enjoyed the nearby pool, beach, walking path and restaurants (Leilani's and Hula Grill). However, there was a leak from the patio into our room when it rained which got the carpet wet. The resort tried to remedy the problem with something to block the rain from coming in, but we still had wet carpet. Thank you! Overall we had a nice trip.
