Seal Rock is simplicity itself. Charming, unique custom cottage on rocky shore waterfront property and large wooded lot near Acadia National Park.
Perfect for a honeymoon, anniversary or a get-away-from-it-all vacation.
The main floor features a wall of windows on the water side, a large living/dining/kitchen/sleep great room with queen bed. Wrap-around windows slide into the walls and disappear to make a large screened room perched in the trees that brings the outside in.
A sunny and bright 2nd level open loft with 2 twin beds provides another space for reading, sleeping or quiet relaxation. Newly-cleared views of Goose Marsh Cove from the large deck, incredible sunset views, very quiet and private surroundings.
You are only a few minutes' drive from all that the island has to offer, including Acadia National Park, the charming villages on the "quiet side", and of course, Bar Harbor itself if you crave people-watching or shopping for unique souveniers, a movie night out at the cinemas, or access to the Island Explorer bus system to tour the island and the Park for free.
Rate is for 2 guests; Additional fee for child only $100 each up to max 4 guests.
Wifi, no TV. Electric heat for cozy spring and fall evenings.

We were ecstatic when we got to Seal Rock! The place looked amazing and was great for our family of four. We loved the view from all the windows and had some great sunsets. There were so many more amenities than I anticipated. Even though we didn't use any of it, it was nice to see there was coffee & filters, paper goods like plastic baggies, napkins, paper towels and Tupperware, spices and cooking oils. It was a unique touch to have binoculars, games and books there along with the many brochures, maps and pamphlets. My 8 year old read one of the books in 2 days! I definitely will be booking this place when we come back. It's on the quiet side of MDI but it doesn't take more than 30 minutes to get to most of the main spots. We are from PA and have plenty of mosquitoes but the ones in Maine are brutal so make sure to bring lots of bug spray. I really do appreciate all the little touches to the cabin and ease of checking in and out. Thank you so much! Our family had a wonderful stay!

Great small cottage tucked in the woods. Was quite with only one house close. Within 30 minutes of most of the island. Clean house, the master bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. Wonderful experience all around.

Seal Rock was a wonderful place to stay during our Maine vacation. The views of the water, the convenient location to Acadia National Park, and the cabin itself made it an unforgettable experience. We would love to stay here again on another trip to MDI!
