11, Route d'Eglise is found along a little driveway and sits in a large plot of land (3300sqm) with plenty of mature gardens and trees surrounding it. It has a large sunny south-west facing terrace, perfect for eating al-fresco and enjoying the views of the countryside. The house itself provides spacious and modern accommodation, with satellite TV, DVD and a WIFI connection. Just a few minutes walk away, a mini-market, a pharmacy, a butchers and an outstanding patisserie/boulangerie all provide the utmost convenience for visitors. Within two minutes walk is a friendly and delicious restaurant Auberge du Relais, great for Sunday lunch and enjoying the delicious fruits de mer of the region. Within minutes of driving, there are sandy beaches to be enjoyed and small snack stations and playgrounds for children in many of these little coastal towns. This location is a great option for everyone, with its mild climate, historic gardens and artists and delicious food. A hairdryer is provided. Outside there are two picnic tables and sun umbrellas to provide shade. There is also a paddling pool for guests with small children to use. The garden is also fully-enclosed so children can roam. Close by just a few minutes walk towards the sea, is the famous Bois de Moutiers, http://www.boisdesmoutiers.com/ a beautiful old arts and crafts house with a numerous large historic gardens which make a very pleasant afternoon stroll. Then there is the 'Shamrock' garden also a few minutes walk, holding the biggest collection of hortensias in the world, with more than 1000 varieties. Within Varengeville itself, there is also Manoir d'Ango to visit, a summer palace built by Jehan Ango in the 1500s in the Italian Renaissance style. The Ciderie in the village also has a tea room with outside seating and hosts art exhibitions of local artists in the area - well worth a visit: http://www.pimentbleu-tissagedemoret.fr/ Further afield there is Dieppe at 10 minutes drive away, with a covered swimming pool complex, a Sea Museum and a Castle with many steps to climb and a reward of amazing sea views. Many cafes and restaurants provide good refuelling, making a trip to the large, imposing Gothic church, possible. House worked perfectly for a family… large group house is very close to village… but very sterile …not a cosy home, no warmth. The owner makes himself available whenever a renter reaches out. Wifi poor which was a problem.

We had a lovely, comfortable stay. The house is very well maintained and well located to explore the area

Nice spacious and light house. The sea quite close, nice village with everything you need in walking distance. Very silent at night. Contact with the proprietor Nord and care taker Jacqueline is quick, friendly and correct. Directions to get to the house are excellent. The house is situated in a newly developed area, with other modern villas around. All on their own large lawn with no hedges for privacy. The lawns of course need regular mowing, the sound of which can be a nuisance if you want to relax. The house is very clean. It is also a bit stark, no pictures or other things to cheer up the rooms, no books or leaflets about the area. We missed a bit of welcome like a bag of tea and some coffee (or nescafe) in the kitchen to sit down after long travel before going shopping. Also the household stores were a bit low for a house of 10 guests: 3 rolls of toilet paper, one drying cloth for the kitchen, too tight sheets. The main issue will be the amount of hot water available if you're planning to stay with 10 people. If you're looking for something characteristic this house wouldn't be for you. If you're planning for lots of outdoor activities then this might be the place to go: huge lawn for playing games and great area to discover by car.

Nice cabin, well planned layout, new/modern, large garden, quiet area, close to the beach, sunny, functional interior...

The house is clean and modern. The beds are comfortable. The location quiet but easily accessed. The local area provided plenty of sightseeing although several of the local amenities were closed during this off season. The Terrasse hotel restaurant which is a few kilometres away is highly recommended. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit the Dieppe coastal area or inland towards Rouen.

Every member of my extended family loved this light, bright and spacious house and the huge garden was appreciated by my football-mad grandsons! The nearby beach was picturesque and sandy with rock pools when the tide was out. Varengille is a lovely village and the patisserie is amazing! There is plenty to do in Dieppe where there are many good restaurants and we can recommend the Café Des Tribuneaux in the town. It is worth the journey to visit Rouen which is a beautiful city. The owners are very helpful, the caretaker was very welcoming and the house was spotlessly clean and had very comfortable beds. I would certainly return to this property and I can recommend it as as being suitable for all age groups.
