Days Inn - KC, Kansas How do I describe this place? Owners, CHEAPSKATES! Upon arriving to the entrance it looks decent and property looks clean. However, the parking lot looks somewhat of a mess. Broken concrete all around and it looks like the entire driveway concrete needs to be repaired. Once you enter the lobby and check in, you have a friendly Indian lady that helps you check in and gives you your room key. She was pleasant to communicate with. Going up the elevator is scary and questionable. When you press a floor number up or down, you don’t know if it will work because it does a big jerk enough to feel it. Going through the hallway up to my room was not too bad, but the hallway had a weird smell and there was a large hole on the wall. But that’s most likely because they were working on the repair. ROOM: 4-Star My room was 216, Queen Suite. Upon entering the room, it was clean and spacious. The Queen bed looked small against the large room. King bed could easily go in and still have plenty of room. The room comes with a couch and table in front of it. It also comes with a modern TV with all your modern TV features, including YouTube. A good size work desk with office chair provided. The window has a nice feature I personally liked, offering extra space for sitting or keep your travel belongings. HOT IS COLD: 2-Star At first glance, the bathroom looks clean and somewhat inviting. I always like when hotels offer a large, LED Lit mirror and this room offered it. Nice touch. The sink and faucet seemed in somewhat of a new(er) condition. The toilet did not work good at all. Plumbing needs major attention. It barely flushed and you had to hold the lever for 5 to 10 seconds to flush. Shower is completely opposite of how it’s supposed to work. HOT IS COLD and COLD IS HOT. When you turn on most of the knobs, from the right side, it creates cold pressure water. And if you keep turning the knob to the left, hot water pressure. Not at this hotel. Not to mention the shower head just looked questionable and not clean. Bath and hand towels were very thin and visibly old. To dry yourself completely, you’d need to use two full bath towels. Fortunately, when I asked for extra towels, the Indian lady gave me some without any fuss. “HARD AS BRICK”: 1-Star As quoted by other friendly guests, “trying to enjoy,” their breakfast. At first glance you notice a hot crockpot and a large tray warmer and you think, wow, this 2-Star hotel is going to have nice and fresh breakfast. Not so fast. The biscuits you could definitely use as hokey pucks. Or, to prop open a door with. When I put some “sausage gravy” over my “biscuits,” I tried to use just a fork to poke through it. It didn’t work. Then I tried cutting through it, also didn’t work. I was able to cut very little and take few bites… disgusting. It’s as if the CHEAPSKATE OWNERS are daily reusing them, in hopes they can get customers to accept to eat something that Health Food Inspectors don’t allow. The utensil were cheap and it was very noticeable. Very thin and useless. The few bread selections they offered looked stale. Cereal selection was terrible. The only good thing about the breakfast was they offered good healthy yogurt. I ate two of those and toasted my bagel. OMG The toaster needs to be thrown out. I had to toast it 4 times to get it to work properly. Toaster only works on the left side. OVERALL: 2-Star If you’re looking to be cared for by cheapskates, this is your place. One other decent thing about this hotel was the location. Located across from QT Gas Station. Nothing else around it. You can drive 5 minutes, past few traffic lights where you can find much more better options for shopping and dining. Otherwise, I only stayed here on my way to my next destination, but I would not recommend this hotel, nor will I stay here again.

Not too much to say on this really. Decent price and location for what I needed. Staff were very friendly, the place was clean and it was a pleasant stay. Minor gripes are that one of the springs in my bed had gone (room 103) which made it a bit lumpy, but I still slept ok. Also there was no orange juice available at breakfast. It didn't look like they stocked it at all.

the staff was rude and at check out time she called to check on room and I could clearly tell she was talking about me but not in English I feel that's extremely rude. if your gonna say it then say it
