I liked the location and it felt safe with security screens all round

The bathroom situation and the lack of a cloths dryer. The weather was wet while I was there so almost impossible to dry cloths.

Lovely quiet location close to water and train station.

The bathroom was tiny. The billiard table takes up a lot of space in the living area. No microwave.

The house is in a lovely, quiet suburb of Brisbane called Lota on the edge of the bay. A flat 25-minute walk brings you to a nice restaurant area opposite Manly Marina. The house has a good-sized living-dining area with a pool table and two bedrooms with ample storage. The kitchen is well-equipped and the washing machine was useful. Marie, the owner, met us at the property to hand over the keys and explain about the house. There are bikes and canoes available for use if you wish to do so. Lota railway station is a 10-minute walk away and the train goes into central Brisbane in a 45/50 minute journey that only costs 50 cents per person.

The two toilets/shower room are not proper rooms and are open at the top - think public toilet cubicle - and lack privacy in that respect.

Very clean, all linen spotless, great location. Enjoyable little cottage to stay in.

Both single mattresses need replacing, very uncomfortable. Kitchen in need of a larger fry pan and a microwave. Bath towels and some pillows need updating.
