Good centrally-located old hotel, but don't take the breakfast option
The hotel is right in the center of Divonne and it has a free parking. The receptionist in the evening was very friendly and even offered us different room options. The old rooms are charming, though less luxurious than they look on the pictures. The mattresses were very comfortable and we had a side room which was quiet and offered us a good night of sleep.
The receptionist in the morning did not indicate that there are two different places for breakfast and wanted to charge us the buffet option, although we had only consumed the items they indicated for the smaller option. In terms of value for money, you're better off going to a tearoom, by the way. The lift is so old and scary that I chose to take the stairs whenever I could. You can hear the steps of the people in the room above.

Delightful! Wished I could have stayed longer.
I liked where it was and the area around it, the general bustle of it I enjoyed from my balcony overlooking the car park and street alongside it. Divonne was busy but with the feel of a quaint small town. Lovely fountains of clear, beautiful, Swiss running water, I was told had come from the nearby Lake Geneva, that I felt like chucking myself into 'cos of the heat! It was hot, but perhaps I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to hot weather! Staff were nice and helpful, and again, as with everywhere else I stayed on this trip, the standard of English speaking could only be admired. I even had a breif, but delightful, casual English conversation with the charming and obviously French, blond-haired lady on reception desk I would have loved to have seen more of if only there was time. Breakfast was nice and relaxed with some lovely old British music from a bygone age being played, eg. stuff from PM & Wings ''Band on the Run'' album I hadn't heard for some 50 years! Room was nice, comfortable and quiet, despite being a possible entry into the Guiness Book of Records as the smallest hotel room ever stayed in!!! And as said, I liked the balcony. Great to be able to park on site in the small car park out front. However, was a bit tight and required reversing out of onto the road, which was fine except for that I reversed the wrong way meaning I was facing the wrong way on what was a one-way street. Easy mistake to make I think when staying at so many different places!
The breakfast could have been abit more varied with a few hot things, eg. scrambled egg, on offer, but it was nice nonetheless. Once again, no bath, despite ''bath or shower'' in description. Perhaps, in a recent, sort of change of the definition of certain words, ''bath or shower'' is now officially recognized by one and all as ''shower only'', and it is in fact me, a behind-the-times relic of the past, who is in the wrong?????? Also, one should be careful with one's elbows in such limited space of the room. Especially in the shower! Couples should NOT attempt to shower together!

Cheapest and probably worst option
The Hotel workers were friendly, and the price was the lowest in the area.
The fire alarm went on TWICE during the night, we didn't get any information from the hotel workers, our kids were terrified to go to the room again, we didn't know what was going on. Terrible service in this situation, no one from the hotel around, no care for their guests. I realised there was no emergency exit we might use is case of a fire, so definitely never going back with this low level of confidence. Our room was on the last floor, it was super hot and impossible to sleep due to the high temperature. Two beds were more or less comfortable, two of them were not good at all. Regarding breakfast, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Super small choice of food, quantity was ridiculous, cafe machine not working, an orange liquid which you could not drink, supposed to be a juice... I guess the guy realized how bad it was, that we didn't pay for one of the kids, but 40 euros for this? Outrageous! There is a super nice bakery just 2 minutes walking, much better choice.

Good value for money in quiet location
The hotel is located in a charming town 25min from Nyon and is easily accessible by bus from there. The room I stayed in was spacious and the area is very quiet. The staff was also accommodating for my late-night check in.
The breakfast was good but not exceptional and it would have been nice to have reusable cups and glasses in the room (rather than just paper and plastic cups which end up as trash). Also some basic toiletries like shampoo would have been nice. Otherwise nice stay!

Basic hotel in Divonne
Very central place in divonne, communication with staff was good. Did not have the chance to try the breakfast
Small rooms, very hot and quite old by now. Bathroom has a smell of cigarette because I suspect that people were smoking close to the ventilation intake.
