Alpha Arenal Hostel

Sehr schön gestaltetes und sauberes Hostel. Es werden verschiedene Aktivitäten angeboten, die man problemlos am Vortag buchen kann. Die Lage ist gut gelegen und man erreicht fußläufig alles im Ort. Die Volunteers und der Host sind sehr bemüht, offen und schaffen eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Ich habe mich direkt wohlgefühlt. In der Küche gibt es kostenlos Kaffee und Boxen, um seine eigenen Lebensmittel aufzubewahren.

Kleinere Reparaturen wie ein defekter Handtuchhalter und ein Abstehender Türknauf von der Badezimmertür könnten erledigt werden, bevor die nächsten Gäste kommen. Leider sind die Nachbarn recht laut. Durch die dünnen Wände hört man diese noch spät abends beim Fernsehen.

El personal del hostal es muy atento y siempre está disponible para ayudar con cualquier necesidad de los huéspedes. También ofrecen varios tours organizados por ellos a precios muy honestos. En general, el ambiente en el hostal es muy agradable y es fácil conocer a otros viajeros con quienes compartir experiencias y buenos momentos. La ubicación también es excelente! Sin duda lo recomiendo a cualquiera que visite la zona!

Good location and friendly staff.

Alpha Arenal Hostel has a good location in La Fortuna, and the staff were friendly during my stay. The hostel was generally clean, and it can be a decent budget option for travelers looking to save money. However, there were a couple of significant drawbacks. There was only one shared toilet available for a large number of guests, which often meant waiting and made the facilities feel overcrowded. Also, there is no air conditioning in the dormitory bunk-bed rooms. The rooms can get quite warm, especially at night, which made sleeping less comfortable. For these reasons I will not stay there again. Overall, it’s an acceptable budget hostel, but the limited bathroom facilities and lack of air conditioning are important things to consider before booking.
