Our family of five had a wonderful stay in Chalet Zouteland. We are a family with three young children (2, 5 & 8) and the accommodation suited our needs. The accommodation was very clean with good facilities, all was as expected. We were welcomed with some little gifts, which our children especially loved. Safety rails were provided for the bunk beds.
The outside area was well kept, we used the table for dining a couple of times when weather permitted. Beach toys / BBQ were available in the adjacent shed.
The holiday park itself is very well kept with nice facilities/entertainment to keep our young children happy. The soft play area was excellent, really clean with good facilities. A welcome area for rainy days. There was a kids club though our children didn't attend, however it seemed very popular with the young children at the site (probably under 7s). There was live music one evening in the on-site restaurant/bar. This was excellent and provided some much needed adult escapism.
The site is located about 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, just through the holiday park and over the dyke. Watch out for the many steps, I suggest leaving baby buggies at the bottom of the steps. Amazing sandy beach with a playground. What more could a child (and parents) want!
We had mixed weather during our stay, some beautiful sunny days and some not so nice rainy/windy days. There is plenty to do within 30 mins drive of the site. We went to mini-mundis (mini-adventure park for young children with indoor/outdoor areas). Our kids loved it, especially the model town. We also explored some of the surrounding towns - Domburg - nice sophisticated seaside town, with some lovely cafes, shops and all important ice-cream parlours. Vlissingen - again some nice cafes, bars (viewed from afar) and interesting walks along the promenade.
Communication with the owner prior to and after the rental was good. Overall a very good stay. Our first but not last trip to Holland and Chalet Zouteland.
