About this house rental

Summary:
This is a newly remodeled home with a colorful and artsy vibe. Featured works from local artists are on every wall! Our home is just minutes away from local shops, breweries, the Golden 1 Center, Sacramento State University, major highways and bustling midtown; the UC Davis Med Center is less than a mile away, too.

The Space:
The entire 3 bedroom unit is available for access. There’s a small front and rear porch area that guests are welcomed to use.

NOTE: there is an attached ADU (rental unit) that is rented to an on site worker. The worker does not have access to the main home and has his own separate entrance to the ADU.

Your booking actually helps real artists within the community! Their art is featured in the house and also available for purchase :)

The garage is a closed space and is kept locked. It is not available for access.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. Feel free to park in the gated driveway or enjoy free parking on the street in front of the house!

The Neighborhood:
Hollywood Park is an established, safe and quiet neighborhood. The residents are easy going. The house itself is about a 5 minute drive from the always fun broadway triangle (in Oak Park); an area with great shops, breweries, and an awesome bookstore. We love the Plant Foundry (nursery and garden) and think you might, too.

Also close by are two great breweries. Track 7 is a local favorite for craft beer. Two rivers is another local favorite literally a 2 minute walk from the house. They’ve got delicious options for beer and ale. Just down the street is Curtis park. It’s full of gorgeous trees, green grass and the perfect walking path.

William land park is also 2 minutes away, full of trees, a running trail and the Sacramento Zoo!

Getting Around:
If you get the chance, try the city's newest form of transit - electric scooter sharing! Electric scooters are becoming more and more popular in the area and are a really fun way to get around. Of course Uber and Lyft are readily available, too.

Public transportation runs up and down the main cross street

Other Things to Note:
The garage is locked and not available for access.

NOTE: We do NOT HAVE cable services. We offer streaming services such as Netflix, Roku, Prime, & Hulu. (Guest has to use their own Netflix account)

Interaction with Guests:
At the front door, you can say "Hi" with the Nest Video Doorbell - just push the button (if you want to)

We leave basic household information on the kitchen table. This includes wifi, tv navigation, temperature control instructions, and a great guide for things nearby. We have lived in Sacramento for over 30 years and can provide great recommendations for some great local food - just ask .

If you need anything else, you can call or message.

Stayed here before and it kind of went downhill since in looks, cleanliness, and functionality. Looks like the place was broken into not too long ago and they put a new janky front door that’s difficult to open and close. My brother’s toddler was crawling everywhere and her knees were BLACK with dirt and grime from the floors not being cleaned… same with the bottoms of our feet/socks. The Brita pitchers looked a little suspicious to drink from (we ended up buying our own water jugs), curtain rods were hanging on for dear life, and the dishwasher didn’t work. Other than that, the bedrooms were cozy. Showers worked great and towels were provided. If you plan to just be using this place as a spot to sleep for the night and come and go throughout the day, then it’ll do! But if you want it for a gathering or for living for long periods of time, I would go for an alternative place.

Michael was easy to communicate with, very responsive. Place fit 5 adults very easy. A couple appliances could use a little attention, the fridge was a bit too cold and we couldn't adjust it

The owner made check in and check out easy. The place was clean. The neighborhood was not great however. Additionally there were items broken like the chest of drawers, dishwasher, and handle to microwave. There was no soap for the laundry (hadn’t planned on doing a load but ended up needing to). The front door did not open and close easily and did not have a bolt on it for safety.
