About this house rental
We look forward to welcoming you to Osprey Nest, our family beach house in Bodega Bay, with a view of the sparkling Pacific Ocean, Bodega Head, Doran Beach, beautiful sunsets and starry nights. We've thought of everything to make your stay relaxing, comfortable, and memorable. Bring friends and family, play pool and ping pong, lounge in the hot tub, read a good book, cook your favorite meals, and leave your worries behind. We love this beautiful place and hope you will, too!
This house was purchased and furnished at the end of 2022, and just about everything is new, from the flooring, to the furnishings, to bedding, towels and kitchenware. You can look forward to relaxing in a large (3280 sq ft) home where everything was selected for your comfort and enjoyment.
Just out the front door, you'll find the Shorttail Gulch hiking trailhead, which leads to a 0.5 mile trail down to a secluded beach. If you prefer to stay on pavement, you'll be treated to stunning views in every direction as you walk around this peaceful neighborhood. Deer, rabbits, and quail are all part of the local community, as well as a group of grazing dairy cows across the street to the east.
After a day spent at the beach, wine-tasting, or local sightseeing, your group may return home to stunning sunsets, viewed either from one of the decks or through the large picture window in the living room. The kitchen is supplied with everything you need to make delicious meals, and the hot tub is waiting with fluffy towels and melamine glassware.

This stay exceeded all expectations! The house was amazing and the location was perfect. From taking in the sunsets from the porches or couch, to walking the nearby trail, to golfing and eating all the seafood… it was just ideal. It was also the best stocked house we have ever stayed in. Whatever you needed, they had it. The owners were super responsive with providing great options for food, golf and spa. We never needed to contact them while there because everything was so easy. They had a great welcome booklet and instruction manuals on using all the gadgets and devices the house cane with. I mean there was even a towel warmer in the master bath! From the teenagers to the adults, we all agreed it was a perfect stay and we look forward to coming back!

The host was so gracious, informative, kind and thoughtful. The house was a beautiful home away from home. It was so spacious, the bathrooms had amenities, there were games, puzzles, books, a pool table and ping pong table and more. The kitchen had everything you needed and we cooked dinner almost every night of our stay. The weather wasn't stellar when we were there so we didn't get to enjoy all the great outdoor spaces the house had. but there was great patio furniture in all the spaces. The views were great and the location was in close proximity to the beach, hiking trails, restaurants and a great coffee shop. I spent a lot of time just sitting in front of the fireplace and my kids loved the huge TV in the pool room (and each bedroom had it's own too!). We had a cozy holiday stay as a family and it was a great getaway destination.
