Hotel de Rossi

I have chosen this hotel because it has reception 24/24. The location is very good, being 10 min away from the train station and 15 min away from Bari Vecchia. The staff was very kind and friendly. On the next street on the corners there were cafés that serve great cappuccino. We enjoyed the one from Caffetteria dell' Angolo. There is the possibility to leave the luggage near the reception on the date of departure free of charge. The room was spacious, it had two large wardrobes, a table with a chair and the bed was comfortable but it could have been a bit bigger. We enjoyed our mornings sitting on the balcony that overlooked the street. It was a bit noisy but it didn't bother us, it made us not forget that we were in the south of Italy. The sheet of bed and the towels were bright white and the towels were changed everyday. Even though the furniture was old and the walls weren't repainted as there were marks in some places, this was not a problem for us because the hotel met all our desired requirements. Also, everyday we were provided with toiletries. We had hot running water. (During my accommodation research this turned out to be a serious issue in Bari in some rented apartments). I am pleased that i got over the numerous negative reviews. I spent 6 nights here and i received what i was looking for. This hotel is not for those who are looking for nice furniture, freshly renovated rooms, but for people who desire the same aspects that i mentioned before. Certainly, in Bari you don't come to appreciate the furniture in the room, at the hotel you go at night to sleep, this is my opinion.

The shower cabin was quite small, but it is not a big issue.

Good location for train and buses. Comfy bed, hot shower, aircon. Able to store luggage after checkout for late buses/flights

A little tired

Staff was very nice to us, mostly used spaces as bed and bathroom were clean. Comfortable bed and nice architecture. Shower worked well, room was spacious enough and even had a working hair dryer.

Cleanliness of the not so used spaces wasn't great such as under the bed, there was a bit of mold in the shower laterals and dust in closets. Also room wasn't soundproof so we could hear strong noise from outside and inside.

Good location for Bari centrale about ten minutes walk. Staff were nice. Gave me a kettle to use when I asked for it which was helpful

The heat from the air con was very inefficient it was cold in the room I had. Had to pay city tax on top of 45 euros per night but this was told prior to booking, just after staying elsewhere I didn't find this good value. Very loud can hear noise from other rooms. It's basic for a basic hotel not for a long stay.
