Foreign visitors must be aware of the RM200 deposit required to activate the self-check in. I only received a Whatsapp message telling me this when I was on my way to the hotel. It ended up being a bit of a nightmare. I sat outside the hotel for one and a half hours trying to find a way to gain access. Banks were closed, the deposit options into the owner's account did not work for me as a foreigner. The security guard outside did his best to help. I had plenty of cash, but no way of getting it into the owner's account to release the code for the key deposit box. Eventually, and by this time I was in tears as it was getting dark, the owner took pity and gave me the code. However, the key deposit box was on the lower level of the boxes. The combination numbers were impossible to read. I was actually lying on the ground (I am a woman in my late 60s) trying to read the numbers to open the combination. The security man tried multiple times too. He could not read the tiny combination numbers. We shone torches, to no avail. Nobody could read the combination numbers. Eventually, we realised that the box was actually loose. The key had slid forward, so I was able to squeeze my fingers in and reach the key. I scrapped the skin on the back of my hand to do so. This system is extremely inconvenient and it was quite an upsetting experience, being left outside a hotel with heavy luggage, as it grew dark and I had no idea where I would be spending the night.

The water boiler was absolutely disgusting, strongly recommended to change it. Also, it took ages to receive my deposit fund.
